Hey guys, the Aussie Thread was on page 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We gotta keep this thread going....................anyway,I am starting to feel a bit better now, coming to terms with my losses. That feeling of helplessness and 'what am I going to do now' has started to dissipate, and I am feeling ready to move on.
Well, move on with what I have left After losing all my upgrades in various autosurfs, I am left with the grand payment of $100 per month from Dadndave's.
Not a lot, but it is something, more than a lot ended up with.
I hope the rest of you Aussies fared better than me, but whatever,we will all get through, and survive and be wiser for it.
One positive aspect I have found through all this,- it reinforces who the honest admins are! That can only be a good thing.

Well, I have done my good deed for the day.
Heard a rustling noise here in the study and thought I saw a mouse.
BUT, seeing as it didn't run away, and kept looking at me, I took a closer look.
It was a pygmy feathertail glider possum......tiny little thing, only 2 1/2 inches long, but fully grown.
Have just let it go in the bush,....but it was so gorgeous.
Here's a couple of pics, - the tail is like a feather.

Spent 3 months travelling oz on a tourist visa, went to NZ for a week and when i returned they wouldnt let me back in . Nasty English guy on imigration at Brisbane said i couldnt renew my visa cuz i didnt have enough money to fund another 3 months. Actually, i was skint, rinsed out my credit card in Queenstown NZ but they didnt check and i did lie about having money!!!
Anyway, i got thrown in Brisbane prison for the night and sent home the next day. IO said the ban was compulsory, but i read the small-print and it was optional, it also said IOs decision is FINAL!!!!
Worse thing was i had a gorgeous French girl waiting in Melbourne and a local "charity" offering to sponser me for 4 years cuz i was so good at convincing aussies to give me their change.

What a beautiful sight A.F. This country of ours is always full of little surprises.
Do you remember me telling you about killing a snake in the kitchen a couple of months ago?
Well yesterday my next door neighbour had a brown snake in her garden, before she could get to it it was gone, probably into my garden.
I don't generally worry about snakes too much, because they are having their habitat removed, and generally if you leave them alone they are o.k.
I used to fish about where I live now, in a beautiful unspoilt mangrove creek, These days it is a manmade canal, 100 metres wide, with lochs and jetties, and no bloody fish.

How exactly were you planning on keeping yourself while on a tourist visa for 3 months? Sounds like you should've come out with a working visa in the first place... you can't live off thin air.
I've had issues with immigration, I don't always agree with their decission, but they are there to do a job and if you follow their rules you should have no problems.

Welcome Chrissyg, glad you found the Aussie Thread.
I would love to know the answer to that question too.
I get all my earnings thru the Stormpay card, and even though it's not all that much yet, I am planning on earning alot more......
These earnings are supposedly anonymous......?anyone know.
I have a million and one questions I would like to ask on tax......I would love to know what others do too. I suppose I will have to pay a visit to an accountant at some stage.
Cheryl
thanks for your welcome cheryl...it's nice to talk/read about things that are culturally meaningful to me, and of earth shattering importance...like the debate over vegemite yay!! versus marmite yuk!! i've read the threads quickly once...can't believe it was so long ago that i posted. anyway....it's all moot now.....all this crap about stupid stormpay...they've debited my account $30 ...for what who knows?? lost all my money...had my first withdrawal of $300 pending from bigdaddy when SP struck. also prolly got over-excited and had money reinvested in a cupla others that also bit the dust...so i don't have a tax problem at the moment....i must have been over optimistic when i posted!! a virgin gambler!! HAH!!! hyips!!!! that'll teach me to be greedy!!! anyway...now they're all using egold, which i find unbelievably ridiculously complicated and slow....i know gold is precious to some people, but personally i like wood and pottery, and just can't understand how they care so much that u can't use your goddamned credit card (certified madam of course!! )to buy the damn stuff!! at least asian pay will fund by cc...in case anyone wants to know...and so i joined them..they have live chat help which was helpful and courteous. and no...i don't do referrals for them. also...thanks to all the others for their thoughts on the tax situation.....very informative and very helpful and concise. My accountant nearly hit the deck when he first became aware of our earnings, he did not make an issue of the legality, but, wondered what he was doing behind a desk.
We have come to the realisation that if we wish to continue in online someday we will have to pay tax, as in any other job.
As my accountant said, he has three prostitutes, and an SP bookie among his clients, and none of them have problems with the ATO, as they all pay tax.

If you are interested in the more stable programs that are the most likely not to be a ponzi scheme, I would suggest that you start investigating (appart from PIU) MWA and NSFG. Both of these programs show extensive documentation of their actual FOREX trades.
Have a look at the Sensa Trust web site. They perform in-depth investigations into reputable companies, both PIU and MWA are Sensa Trust investigated.

Well Well Well, haven't the aussies come alive.
What is a charge back? If you funded your s/p account by credit card, and you were not supplied the service that you paid for, you can do a charge back. The bigger cards Visa, Master etc.. provide this service.
Where did the money come from? Early days of Pips, Plexpay, Expinvest, and 12dp, were serious money.
Now where were we? Ballarat, family territory for me, since '81 I have lived in Queensland, "She who must be obeyed" , is desparate to move back to country Victoria, fair chance it will happen one day.

aussiefox
Feb 17 2006, 03:49 PM
Hiya Skydart,
Welcome to the Aussie thread
You'll find most of the International Debit cards work here.
As long as they can be used at any Cirrus/Maestro ATM then it will work.
I plan on getting a Uniclear card shortly, I believe they are cheap and work well.
Maybe someone else here has a Uniclear card that can advise.
Also, you could check out the EMO site.
Make sure you do your checking though, because you can get some for aslittle as US$10.00, some can cost US$60 or more.
E-gold can be loaded onto these cards, which is what I need.
Cheryl
I have a uniclear card, despite a fairly complex loading process it does work well at the ATM if it is Maestro/Cirrus friendly.
Uniclear seems to be constantly under attack, so expect the site to be unavailable at times, or very slow.
I am yet to find a shop that can process a sale with my card.
As for their service department don't hold your breath waiting for a response, after trying almost every system I can lay my hands on I have basically gone back to transferring e-gold funds into a bank account via ice gold, and using the free eftpos card provided.
Ice gold always transfer fast, their fees are reasonable 2%, and, I know where I am all the time.
Like most of us I am in very few programs now that do not accept e-gold.

Hey Pete,
I love the past 2 avatars you've had.
When I was in my late 20's, after my Pop died, I found out that I had an aboriginal history. It was all hush hush, a big secret. There is also a sneaking suspicion that there is also a touch of Maori in there somewhere.
But anyway, my Dad's grandmother was 'full blooded'......I know that is the wrong expression, but cannot think of another.
It became a passion of mine to trace my ancestory, but as you are probably aware, most aboriginals were buried in unmarked graves, it is very hard to trace.
Anyway, I was rapt when I found out all this. Explains a lot. I was forever being asked by people, if I had Spanish, Italian, greek, maori, islander, in me. Well, now I know.

Cheryl,
Being an Aussie is about being a mongrel, not in a nasty sense, but we all share a very diverse ancestry, and I am as proud of it as you are. Australia is just a melting pot.
As for the avatars, the one at the moment is a piece of my work, from the days when I had spare time, I used to cast them roughly in plaster, and carve them into shape, then hand paint them.
I only have two left, dating back about 10 years.
My wife and I have just returned from Tweed heads, where we were visiting our son in hospital, on Monday, he was involved in a freak surfing accident at Byron Bay, whilst on holidays with his wife.
Sadly he fractured a couple of bones in his neck, fortunately, he has not suffered loss of motor function, tomorrow he will either be fitted with a "Halo", or given surgery to pin the vertebrae, still not sure which.
This comes at a very bad time for him as he was about to start at Melbourne University next week, doing his Masters in Human rescources, business.
Been a couple of stressful days, all around.

Halo, or surgery, I hope all goes well, and he makes a full recovery. It's a shame about Uni, but as long as he is okay, that is the main thing for now.
Your artwork is fantastic, me thinks you are a very talented man
My mother was admitted to hospital last night - fibrillation, I am about to get organized and go and visit her. She is 70 and on heart medication, but otherwise very fit. Dances (ballroom) most nights and goes to balls etc. She is also asthmatic, and last week on a checkup with a new Dr., he decided, in his wisdom, to change her heart medication as well Why try and fix something, that isn't broke???????
Anyway, looks like she will be fine, but like you with your son, gives us all a huge fright.
Best wishes to your son Cheryl

Hello everyone, How many people have recieved chargebacks. I'm with the NAB and have submitted a few I spoke to their internet fraud team this morning and they said that the storm pay issue is the biggest workload for them at the moment. Apparently they give SP 30 days to respond to the chargeback. About 10 days to go for me I think.

Pete, I am so sorry to hear about your son. Gives you all a real scare doesn't it, realizing that a tragedy can happen at any time. Thank goodness he will be okay. It could have been so much worse. Halo, or surgery, I hope all goes well, and he makes a full recovery. It's a shame about Uni, but as long as he is okay, that is the main thing for now.
Your artwork is fantastic, me thinks you are a very talented man

Thanks for your kind wishes,
Looks good ATM any luck the Halo will arrive and be fitted this afternoon, they will then get him up on his feet, and keep him under observation, until Saturday.
All being well he will fly to Melbourne on Sat, and be treated at the Austin Hospital, fingers crossed.
Hope your Mum is O.K. doctors do some strange things at times.

Hey Pete, are you watching the footy that you are putting on in the Sunshine state tonight? GO BOMBERS!!
Must be getting time to resurrect the old Matty Lloyd avatar.
Can't say I think much of the new 'scoring' though. A 3 point point??!! I hate change, wish they'd leave it the way it was, so that I actually know what is going on.
It's only 'cause my husband is an umpire, that I gain some sort of understanding of the new rules etc.
Well, I better get back to the game.....kettles boiled, date scones are ready...........
Cheryl (hope all went well with your son)
