For shame Justin, I've been on the other side of those orders, but it beats being on non-express any day. The most I've let go through when I was on express was 130 items, mostly cat food.
Random question, who apart from Dorky and myself is from SE QLD?
I am a S.E. Queenslander too, I think Dorky is more Central Queensland.

Hi iZero, I am from Central Queensland, about 600 klms north of Brisbane. Not really that far in the scheme of things.. we are a large country. Our international friends maybe don't realize how large.

It means problems, problems, problems Dorky. What has happened is I changed my email address in my profile, - I didn't realise if you did this you get a validation email sent to you. Unfortunately I never received the email, no matter how many times I pressed ' resend validation'. Anyway finally got it sorted. Thanks to whoever did that for me. So for the past couple of days all I could do was read the forum. Couldn't post, access my controls, profile, couldn't do anything
One of my favourite sites is: GhostStudy Liked your bouncy youtube video. You're very agile!
Ghosts eh? I thought it was a very subjective field especially with the advent of Photoshop, but I guess you never know until you know. As for the tumbling thanks, I haven't been going very long and I'm training for state qualifiers so that's prettymuch all I can think about atm which is having an effect on my uni work but you get that.
Havnt seen you around much lately How are you? well just sayin hi!
I'm am really never very far away, I usually check in once or twice a day, but post a bit less than I did. I have virtually no involvement in surfs or hyips these days, so I no longer spend 10 hours a day glued to my P.C.
It is great to see the way this thread has evolved over the past year or more, seems that the days where I would sneak in and bump the thread to get it off page 3 are gone for good. I have often thought if I had my time over again,"silly is best" would not have been there, maybe it's time for a little 'home truth. If my memory serves me correctly, this thread was started on a Friday night, fairly late, good old Pete, had been down to the local, as I am inclined to do on a Friday night and when I got home, I opened a bottle of red and sat down at my P.C. The red was going down particularly well that night, and a few of us, Melle, Justin, and perhaps Aussiefox, had been fooling around in the 'Scariest Avatar' thread, which was so active at times that it was like being on MSN, I was feeling a little silly at the time, so the silly is best tag popped up in my head, and on the sub heading.
On another more somber note, it is really heartwarming to see young Aussie members, (like izero), involved in the commemoration of Anzac day, at our local dawn service this morning there was an absolutely record crowd, with lots of young people in the ranks. It is important that we celebrate Anzac date, it is a celebration of the way of life we have today, all made possible by the sacrifices of our forebears, not only the loss of life, but also the sacrifices, made by non serving people who went without, and put their lives on hold for 6 years in the hope that future generations could enjoy the freedom that we enjoy today.

Since the downtime with MMG yesterday, posts in some threads are missing......on my computer anyway, is it the same for everyone?
Yes there are posts missing, as yesterday I replied to one of yours regarding the cost of cauliflowers.

And I said something about the state of your leg and started wondering out loud why councils keep on approving all these new golf courses and residential estates if they really were concerned about saving water and that they should have a population cap in larger cities.
On another note a bought a domain, alltheinvestment.info, pretty catchy eh?

You might think of all the Australian farmers. In the west of Australia there are heavy rains. In the east is a drought where children who are six years of age and never seen rain. In Australia at the moment 2 to 3 farmers are taking their lives as they cannot cope in looking after family, debt to banks and no crops from the burnt ground from the hot sun. Read the poem and say a prayer for rain - We need all the prayers we can get. Murray Hartin was asked to pen something for the Salvation Army that would bring awareness to the general public about rural suicide. He came up with this poem. Rain from Nowhere by Murray Hartin His cattle didn't get a bid; they were fairly bloody poor, What was he going to do? He couldn't feed them anymore, The dams were all but dry; hay was thirteen bucks a bale, Last month's talk of rain was just a fairytale. His credit had run out, no chance to pay what's owed, Bad thoughts ran through his head as he drove down Gully Road. "Geez, great grandad bought the place back in 1898, "Now I'm such a useless bastard, I'll have to shut the gate. "Can't support my wife and kids, not like dad and those before, "Crikey, Grandma kept it going while Pop fought in the war." With depression now his master, he abandoned what was right, There's no place in life for failures, he'd end it all tonight. There were still some things to do, he'd have to shoot the cattle first, Of all the jobs he'd ever done, that would be the worst. He'd have a shower, watch the news, then they'd all sit down for tea Read his kids a bedtime story, watch some more TV, Kiss his wife goodnight, say he was off to shoot some roos Then in a paddock far away he'd blow away the blues. But he drove in the gate and stopped – as he always had To check the roadside mailbox – and found a letter from his Dad. The Murray Darling Basin Now his dad was not a writer, Mum did all the cards and mail But he knew the writing from the notebooks that he used at cattle sales. He sensed the nature of its contents, felt moisture in his eyes, Just the fact his dad had written was enough to make him cry. "Son, I know it's bloody tough; it's a cruel and twisted game, "This life upon the land when you're screaming out for rain, "There's no candle in the darkness, not a single speck of light. "But don't let the demon get you, you have to do what's right; "I don't know what's in your head but push the bad thoughts well away. "See, you'll always have your family at the back end of the day; "You have to talk to someone, and yes I know I rarely did. "But you have to think about Fiona and think about the kids. "I'm worried about you, son, you haven't rung for quite a while, "I know the road you're on 'cause I've walked every bloody mile. "The date? December 7 back in 1983, "Behind the shed I had the shotgun rested in the brigalow tree. "See, I'd borrowed way too much to buy the Johnson place; "Then it didn't rain for years and we got bombed by interest rates. "The bank was at the door; I didn't think I had a choice, "I began to squeeze the trigger – that's when I heard your voice. "You said 'Where are you Daddy? It's time to play our game' “I’ve got Squatter all set up, we might get General Rain.' "It really was that close, you're the one that stopped me son, "And you're the one that taught me there's no answer in a gun. "Just remember people love you, good friends won't let you down. "Look, you might have to swallow pride and take that job in town, "Just 'til things come good, son, you've always got a choice. "And when you get this letter ring me, 'cause I'd love to hear your voice." Well he cried and laughed and shook his head, then put the truck in gear, Shut his eyes and hugged his dad in a vision that was clear. Dropped the cattle at the yards, put the truck away, Filled the troughs the best he could and fed his last ten bales of hay. Then he strode towards the homestead, shoulders back and head held high, He still knew the road was tough but there was purpose in his eye. He called his wife and children, who'd lived through all his pain, Hugs said more than words – he'd come back to them again. They talked of silver linings, how good times always follow bad, Then he walked towards the phone, picked it up and rang his Dad. And while the kids set up the Squatter, he hugged his wife again, Then they heard the roll of thunder and they smelt the smell of rain

What a send off for McGrath
@Buddly, that was a long post, but worth the read. We're putting the farm up near Bundy on the market in the next month or so which is a little sad because I spent 6 years of my life there, as a matter of fact when I thought about it the other day, that was the longest I've spent under one roof. But it was cane we were going at Lagoon Park and we were turning over a solid 8% on capital a year, so if you've got about $3.4 million...

Ah, nope. Only rain for me. Without any, the others ultimately become insignificant. (Even though they're not interesting for me anyway, I'm not very Australian I guess. )
Edit: it's all about me. Mwa ha ha ha.

Driving through Central Victoria on Saturday and Sunday, they were absolutely deluged with rain.
Some of the paddocks looked like lakes, it was wonderful to see. We have had enough rain here to start turning our dirt yards, into what is beginning to once again resemble grass. Nowhere near enough, but hey, every little drop helps.
Spent 2 days at our new van on the weekend. We were lucky in that they left absolutely everything in it that we could need. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, dinner sets, tv, dvd, kettle, everything. It is fantastic.
I wish I could take you all there for a holiday sometime

I think he's gone underground for a little while, last time he was on I think he said he was in a motel on their internet or something to that extent. Well I've got State qualifiers on Monday so I was thinking, "great, I get to miss out on my longest day at uni" but I turns out that it was Labour Day so there were no classes anyway. Oh well it's better than nothing. So it's up to Brisbane for before 7:45am! Seriously, they obviously can't remember back to the sleeping habits of young adults So I'm a little sore after training today, but slightly more enthusiastic about my chances. No where yet, John is still doing things inside and I keep draggin him outside to plant plants for me, as after hurting myself I couldn't get down enough to do it myself. I decided to put in 35 Lilli Pilly's and 79 Sheena's Gold and then put a drip system in to get them settled. We haven't finished the drip system yet, but will get it done soon. I also have some vegi seedlings to go in as well.
We have enough water in our tanks to get these things established to try and brighten up the outside for selling.
We had about 2 minutes of rain this morning then it stop just as quickly as it started, not enough in that short time to do any good at all. Oh well not to worry out time will come around soon enough.
They are saying on the news that within the next couple of weeks we should get rain to help bring the drought to an end, but where they are talking about I have no idea.
John's family in England have said that they haven't had rain for over 3 weeks now, poor them.
Anyway I hope you all had a nice weekend.

The upside, I found out my keyboard is at least splash proof, as it is working as well as ever.
The showers we had were very localised , we got a couple of short sharp showers (check out the poetry, onamatapea if my memory serves me correct)
2 streets away, nothing, at least I got to see a grey sky that leaked a little. Hope you are feeling better Dorky.

Here in the UK we had an excellent April, pleasant warm temperatures and lots of sun...very few April showers this year, in fact it was more like the summer than spring.
May has been more normal so far, some parts of England have had some rain, I've not seen much so far. We could probably use some rain but we're not desperate.
Take care, everybody

We got a little rain this morning which is refreshing. The only thing I still don't like about rain is how even when you're inside and you pull out a shirt and put it on it has that damp clammy feeling. As for tumbling qualifiers yesterday, saying that it could have gone better would be an understatement. I bombed out on all three of my passes which was mostly likely due to a) Lack of time to train and b) A brain fart that lasted about an hour. In the end I guess it was sort of a blessing in disguise because Gymnastics Queensland in all their wisdom has decided that anyone who competes at a state level isn't allowed to compete at an interclub competition for the rest of the year in that event (for instance, I can't compete in tumbling but I can still do double mini trampoline) so instead of trying to rush and half-learn anything new I can go back and consolidate everything that I've learnt starting right back at my roundoffs. I'll probably still try to learn some new somersaults like double frontsaults, half outs (double frontsault with a half turn at the end) and rudis (frontsault with a 540 degree rotation). I also want to get my legs more powerful so I only need a couple of steps for a run-up.

We are having a garage sale tomorrow and Sunday, so hopefully we will get rid of a few things. I have quite a lot of Bromlieds, 1 pot has about 5 different ones in and more than 1 of the same ones, so hopefully I will get somewhere close to what it is worth, but with the buyers still getting a bargain.
It turned a bit chilly this evening and we had some rain earlier in the day, but it didn't last for long.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Jane
Good luck with your bromeliads Jane, I love 'em.
