I would have to say money simply because you could not make it in this word with out it! All of know this! Living with out love would hurt a lot but you could do with out it!

Young, idealistic people. It's beautiful and sad at the same time. Nobody doesn't get burnt who plays with fire, and money is like a burn ointment.

There are many valuable things in life that money can't buy, but you can have them without money or romantic love. For example, love for parents, love for children, true friendship, passion for life and what you do in life. Life is empty without those, yet they don't require either money or romantic love.

You definitely make a good point, finix, and nobody's telling you you're not. Money is essential. However I would mainly choose love over money though, because for me, money can only buy "distractions" as you called them. In my case, I'm only truly happy, because I am in love, and if I weren't happy, I would probably be buying a lot more distractions, like more trips, a bigger house, more clothes, etc... Stuff I really don't need, but stuff that distracts me from being unhappy. Think about where that could lead.

Now I don't know about anyone else in here, but I am only semi-young, and am without an idealistic bone in my body. I definitely look at things in a realistic fashion, especially when it comes to myself. I don't think you can say who's young in here, and what their views are on life, just by reading a couple of posts on this page. If that were the case, then it would be fair to say that you are a cynical person, who has been hurt so bad by a previous person that you loved, (and perhaps still do) that you have lost the courage that it takes to open your soul up again to another person, and I don't believe that it would be fair to say that about you just by reading a couple of posts from you on this page. Ya know?

It all depends on a person. What's a distraction to one is a source of happiness for another. However, in general it is probably true to say that emotions, including love, are responsible for more unrealized potential and misfortune than any other factor in the history of humanity.

Money is just a material. Yes, it's important in life these days. However, true love can't even be explained it's so powerful. Now I have known people who's true love is money and that's not a healthy way to live in my opinion
