So what differentiates a successful website flipper from a website flipper who is a failure or is not that successful? Website flipping is undoubtedly one of the fastest growing industries on the internet. Please find some important facts below, which will give a clear understanding of the reason why many website flippers fail to make it big in the industry
* Outrageous pricing: Many website flippers do everything right with their website; however they demand an outrageous price for it that many potential buyers lose interest right away. However good a flipped website is, it should be reasonably priced, for the buyer to find it attractive and profitable. * Lack of aesthetic appeal: The look of the website plays a major role in getting high paying customer as the look is the first thing which is going to bring the buyer closer to the deal. Any website flipper, who fails in beautifying his website, is very unlikely to make it big. If you are a website flipper who is diligent enough to avoid the above mentioned reasons for failure, you should not be surprised when success knocks at your door next time! * Neglect content: Quality content plays a very decisive role in determining the value of the website. Any website with a poor content is bound to be ignored by many buyers. Poor content is an indication that the website was dealt by an unprofessional, and hence is very unlikely to attract any high paying buyers. No doubt that, a website flipper who does not attach due importance to the content factor, is very unlikely to become a successful website flipper. * Lack of research: Most people jump into a site because of the excitement or rush that they get from knowing there is a possibility to make a large amount of money. You must stop and research everything you can! Sometimes it may take weeks before you can make a very smart decision! * Determining if a niche can be monetized: It is very important to check the feasibility of the monetizing factor of the determined niche. One of the primary reason for the failure of many website flippers is that they do not give due importance to the monetizing factor. Websites with niches which are difficult to monetize are likely to fetch very low or no profits.

Hey There,
I would have to say people fail because they only attempt to sell the domain with a bad looking website. Taking the time to build a website might really help out.

Well said! It's a lot like buying a old house. If you don't fix it up and add value, there is usually no increase in the value and therefore no profit. Besides, I am a fan of improving the Internet and not just abusing it. Let's all contribute.

Nice summary GreenStar,
I'd add to that 'not learning'.
If someone does all those things once and learns from their experience, then they did great.
Failure is a big part of success: the important thing is to look at your past experiences and figure out where you can improve. If you can do that, and remain focused on your goal of success, then you are on the right track

Some very good points in here! I think most people just don't know what they are worth. They think too high. They paid $8.00 for a site, and expect 1000X their return, when 10X would be enough.

Yes, I agree with that LonelyAdult.
As with most things, it's about being realistic. In the same way that some people buy domains and hang on them for ever hoping to get a huge price for them, while others are buying and selling all the time at lower prices - and actually making money!

You should check your .htaccess or your SEF urls plugin, it is not rewriting correctly. All your website links result in 404 not found
