Sorry to hear that, panizgraphic ohmy.gif My friend's account also got hacked recently and she lost $101 sad.gif

The most possible cause is that you have entered a phishing site while investing in some HYIP and so your account got hacked. Some HYIPs now a days redirects us to a phishing LR website while we make the deposit.

To prevent these problems again in the future and keep your LR account secure, I would recommend you take the following measures

1. Don't use your current LR account (the account that got hacked) anymore.

2. Create another 2 new fresh accounts with new password, login pins and e-mails.

3. Use the 1st account for using in HYIPs, doing exchanges and all, and the other for your own use ... I mean don't make your second account public ... Use the 2nd account to store funds, if the funds are huge wink.gif (but I don't do like that biggrin.gif ... but to be on the safe side, I'd recommend you to do like that)

4. Only use Firefox with Liberty Guard installed when you access LR. If you are making a deposit in any HYIP, use Firefox, so that when you get re-directed to the deposit page, Liberty Guard will let you know whether it's a phishing site or not.

5. Don't use your LR password and the password of the e-mail you used to register your LR account, with any other programs and HYIPs.

6. Always logout of your LR account after you login.

7. Keep your PC clean from trojans, spyware and all those stuff. Do thorough full system scan regularly to keep your PC secure.

8. Never access your Liberty Reserve account by clicking on any link in an email.

9. Never open or view any email attachment that is purported to be from Liberty Reserve.

10.Whenever you log in to Liberty Reserve, make sure that https://www.libertyreserve.com appears in the address bar.

Most probably, the hacker has created an API within your LR account and hence able to send funds from your account without even logging in to your account.

Disable all API's in your LR account. That should do the trick.

I think the whole LR system is a scam... a BIG scam. This is what i found while Googling now..

It doesn't matter if you change the password and master PIN after the API is created. Did you login to your LR account and check under the "Merchants" section if you have any active API showing there?

This seems to be the only possible reason.

Also, dont keep much funds in your Wallet.

In that case, create a new LR account and move all your funds there. Be very careful before investing in any HYIP.

LR is the most unsecured payment processor out there. Try avoiding LR as much as possible.

NOTE: Dont keep much funds in the LR wallet.

This security world is very new to me. What is API's? I've been hearing how unsecure LR is, but most of the programs I want to enter seem to use it, so we have to do what is necessary to stay secure. Seems that as soon as I think I am secure I hear someonce saying you need that too and that too. Problem is all of these systems have really slowed down my computer. What can be done about that??

The best thing to do is, use firefox with the Liberty SecurityGuard.
It will say when you are on a phising site or on the real LR site.

OR
when you invest via LR, always watch if you are on this site: https://www.libertyreserve.com
