As Forex traders we've all executed trades which made us a lot of money or possibly lost us a nice chunk of change. Just out of curiosity, I'd like to hear the largest amount traders here on the forum have earned in a single trade. Here's my question, what's the largest amount of money (not pips) you've made on a trade??

i'll go by % and not $$..one of my accounts was doubled in one morning. Only 2 trades.

That's very impressive, doubling an account usually takes a lot of time & a large amount of trades, kudos to you for your success!

I've made around $4,000 in one trade shorting EurJpy at $45 a pip. Good times!

How much was doubled? To double an account in one
trade puts into question your money management rule.
You could also lose all your money in just one swoop.

Not enough!! Lol I've earned around $320 on a single trade, I've just been trading small lots though and I start a few months ago. I'm learning quickly and doing my research :-)

I think % based or pips based is more practical.
If you want large $ per trade, that also means you need large capital.

I don't have that kind of money.
All I am doing now is this: my 3rd day of trade, making my account balance $470, starting from $250 (the minimum to open an account)

As you can imagine, my largest trade is only $200

I have to agree with you there, going by perentage earned rather than actual cold hard cash earned is a much more definitive way of measuring trading success(or lack of it).
