I have been burned, cheated, ripped off, and many other things which are not necessary to post in this forum.

Here are some ideas that I hope that you can help me with. I feel that the majority of the MMG forum is knowledgeable about many of the pitfalls and areas of scam that have taken place and so therefore are very reasonable source to be of help.

Here goes: It seems as if we get new people in MMG on a very regular basis. In visiting with these people and manu others around the world, it seems that the people that are coming online have no real knowledge of what to do or how to do it, and these folks generally fall into the pitfalls mentioned above. I went through through over 2 years of the same ptifalls that I mentioned above...I lost thousands of dollars and I kept asking myself this....why is this happening. Is there a place to go that I can just get the straight skinny on things so that I do not fall into such pitfalls.

At that time I had no idea bout MMG. But even with MMG, as we have seen recently, some of the people in this forum are here to only gain our trust and then cut our throats. Sorry but that is the truth. Why else would someone want to buy my user name from me? MMG is very powerful, but there are some dishonest people in here to.

MMG is a great forum, please do not get me wrong. I love it here, have met some great folks here, but there are some crooks within this forum.

Anyway on with my thoughts. This is what I am planning on doing. I will not go into any details about it right now other then this little blurb. What I want is ideas from you about these two programs that i am going to launch.

Here is the first:

I feel that it is necessary to have a forum where people can come and get learning. Learn how to actually make money online. Learn how to get a good programmer. Learn how to get good hosting. Learn how not to get scammed, just learn how to function online safely. A place where people can post their thoughts and ideas about these topics and more. I know it sounds like MMG but what I am talking about is different. This is more of a due diligence site. A place where newbies can come and be helped.

Let me say this. I think that all of what I want is in MMG. What I am going to do is put it into a format that will make it simpler for people to find what they are looking for. Not for competition to MMG but rather to compliment MMG. (It would be completely seperate from MMG) The forum would be set up in such a way that people could post their learning experiences, and hopefully keep some of the newbies and oldbies out of trouble.

Ideas about this type of forum would be great. Topics, subject matter etc. I think we could really make a great free resource for people.

The next idea is this. Many of us know what NETIBA is. It is a certification process that people can go to and get certified and prove that they are who they are. But it also at the same time has holes in it. I am beginning construction on a new type of certification service that will make it harder for scammers to get peoples money...not impossible of course but harder. This will take a little time to do and again any help or ideas that you have would be greatly appreciated.

Well that is a bare bones explanation of what I am working on. Hope yougive me some ideas for everything, and i hope you understand what I am trying to accomplish.

Yep I read it..thanks...you have the same idea as me. I am ready and willing to take the bull by the horns and proceed forward...something needs to be done for sure.

Seems funny to me that people seem to be more interested in each others avatars than getting the scammers nailed or being protected in the future.

But it's their right!

Why don't you make a poll and see if people are interested in forming an anti-scam group or something.

I couldn't agree more. Pages and pages and pages of irrelevant stuff isn't going to help, but yep, that's people's right.

See? It's topics like these that make progress happen. It's important we keep it going. No real ideas at the moment, but I'll keep checking in

Awesome job, wasatch9. I'm not very good at modding and stuff, and I'm sure you have more experience than me, but if you need help with anything, you got my support.

Good idea....be watching for the poll...I need to get some thoughts together to do so.

By the way I started the avatar thread. It is a great place because we can all relax. This is serious stuff and needs to be that way...so between the two we can get a definite balance.

well, we can't being protected of the scammers... that's the truth.
Also, in our "normal" life, we can't know, if someone is teeling the trith to us or lie.

And I think, many people are interested in each others avatars, cause this topic means FUN- alot of fun...and I'm happy to get fun, cause if I loose money in such scammers, it's improtant to have some fun on the other site.... or you'll get CRAZY

Wasn't my intention to get anyone angry.

We all have the right to do here whatever we like, like heeling the wounds when we have been hurt or burnt.

But, Melle, I think that we CAN do something about the scammers - if nothing else we can at least avoid those obvious cases of scams and decide as group not to join those.

Hi Mel.

Basically the forum idea would be this...it would be more specialized in helping people get grounded in online activites...like for example someone suggested to day to put in a section for ebay, for selling and buying things on ebay, and things like that.

MMG is great, but what this new idea for this forum is much more specialized and exact with no real bashing going on, but just alot of information....does that make more sense now?
