I'm really frustrated. I've been trying to make affiliate sales but it seems nothing work at all. I wonder how to generate relevant traffic...I'm ready to learn from courses but what's the best site to learn about this?
Flippinaround
There are a lot of sites to learn. Don't go to forums.digitalpoint.com, it's so rubbish.

Instead, learn from http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/, it provides good articles for newbies
Learn from http://www.membershipacademy.com as well if you want to start a membership site not just for affiliates.
this one is extremely useful as well, http://www.internetmoneyflow.com. It's a new site, I found it from Sitepoint. Just joined their semi-annually plan and they teach various stuffs, from affiliates to black hat.

My advice is to avoid websites that ask money to help you learn marketing and how to generate targeted traffic. Since you are probably new to all this, I guess your budget is not so high. If you start buying all possible e-books, e-courses, etc. you will soon bankrupt and it is not very likely that you will make any money.

Most of the information is available for free and money making forums are a very good places where you can learn a lot.

The most effective traffic comes from search engines so the best course of action is to focus on SEO and/or PPC marketing like Google Adwords.

Also very effective traffic can be generated through social networking websites, just be careful not to spam.

Avoid traffic and/or banner exchanges, incentive traffic such as GPTRE etc. It is a complete waste of time and the results you can expect to gain are insignificantly low. I wasted almost 3 years trying to make them work and I didn't earn more than $50 for all that time...

A few affiliate programs I found really useful when I first started were http://www.moreniche.com and http://www.highprofits.com

They are both free to join and give you free resources to start you off with affiliate marketing such as web templates, seo content for your site, proven conversion CTA's and high quality banners as well as general affiliate tutorials.

Well worth a visit even if they are not in your niche for research and advice on how to create a well converting affiliate site.

Warrior Forum is the webs best forum for internet marketing, you will pick up some great advice in there.

I agree with the above, you can find out a lot of what you need to do for free, but that will take time and you will have to sift through what is good content and rubbish and then find out if it works or not.

Keep going though, it is worht it in the end!!

I think you are already on the right path in trying to learn about affiliate marketing and the process of selling. Affiliate marketing can be great, but what's important is to learn about selling and how to get targeted traffic. The warrior forum is a great place to learn and before buying any internet marketing product always go to the warrior forum first as they provide great and honest reviews of products out there regarding affiliate marketing.

Don't get frustrated man it really takes a lot of time and effort to make it in this business. Once you do make it, it's well worth it as you can become your own boss and your income possibilities are unlimited.

My recommendation would be to start with very small targeted niches to get yourself started. Start with something you know at least a little about and dig deep for a niche. A good idea of a small targeted niche that people are passionate about is something like "lose weight before my wedding day". That's a very nice long term keyword that you can do extremely well with. People in that niche want IMO on how o lose weight for their wedding and they want it NOW.

Start with niches like tht and work your way up buddy, stick in there and you WILL eventually succeed.

I am working full time in affiliate and internet marketing.

My advice is to get the basics right first - so many people fail to do this.

Get your self a good online course from a REPUTABLE source and follow it through!

There are many ways to generate traffic to your online business BUT it is essential to take the time to get the basics in place. wink.gif

My Very Best Regards

There a number of ways to make money online..Stay away from websites that ask for money to learn how to do something..There is a lot free good education to be learned by surfing the internet....

the key is finding 2 good marketing that you like and feel comfortable with..consistency marketing is the key..What you like doing breed consistency..consistency breeds success..

get your yourself educated on the marketing methods that you are going to persistent with..

Stay away from all the guru hype...I don't know what an extra $100 per day will do for you..did wonders for me in terms of confidence...

Good Luck..Stay Focused

Nice info,Just want to add some knowledge to what you have already given. From my own personal experience i think any one going into online business should understand that this must be taken as real business too,if that is accepted, you have know that putting up a real business don't just come up by closing your eyes and opening it.

It need some basic ingredients such as passion ,determination and commitment.

First, you must try to look for a niche that you love, something you are happy to to,not only because of the money you want to make in it,and after that you take decision to make it stand as a business and finally you try to learn more about it and put all it takes to make it work.

I have to say this because i have been to some of the sites you mentioned, but i could not make use of the information they have there because i was thinking it could be just too easy money,so i was thinking of making it stand as a business,so i failed there, but am happy now that i understand why i failed then, and now everything has changed, now am happy as an internet marketer.

For that purpose I used a great training course named My Online Income System by Kimberly Hoffman. I learned with this program everything needed to start making money online. It explained in details how to do it using free methods and a free website.

For me, it was just following the industry leaders, and opting into their lists. If you can read between the lines, you can gain alot of valuable insight from their emails and the content that they share. If the marketer that you're following goes follows the 80/20 (80% content and 20% promotion) rule, you can learn tons for free. Also, what I do is looking on Facebook and try to find them and add them as a friend so that you can stay plugged in with them. You'll see other people on their lists and drop them a line and say hello and just network and see what they are working on. Hope that helps.

Very important today is to follow the new rules of Google's algorhythm.
Social Networks became more and more important and that means, you need to leave your footprints there.

Get people to share your sites on facebook, google+ and other Social Media to get results.

You can also use very effective plugins and themes which are helping you to do just this.

Create also a fanpage on Facebook and build a loyal fanbase while providing good content and
stay away from spamming with non quality content.
Do this seperate for every niche you're involved in and do not mix them up.

Greetings
Dougi

There are thousands of products online that promise to teach people how to make money online. In two different suggestions below, I notice one recommended Wealthy Affiliate, and another Google Sniper 2. I would stay away from both of those. I tried them both, and to be honest Wealthy Affiliate is great, but not for a newbie in any way. It has way too much information and I didn't like how it was laid out. I think if you have experience and a general understanding of internet marketing, then Wealthy Affiliate would be a great program to work with. As for Google Sniper 2, don't go anywhere near this product. It does teach you the basics and has good technical training videos, but it teaches you to do things very unethically, and I personally will not sacrifice my integrity for any amount of money.

What I found is working for me is a program called Niche Blitzkrieg by Michael S. Brown. I recommend searching for it online, and do your research, to see if it would be the training platform you are looking for.

Good Luck.
