I have just become an Introducing Broker for GoMarkets here in my home country Australia.
If anyone joins GoMarket and tells them that i Mark Scown introduced you to GoMarkets i will give you my Skype id and will teach you how i trade or help you with anything that i am able to.
Trade Margin FX contracts with GO Markets using the MetaTrader4 system and benefit from:
Spreads from 0.5 pips Leverage of up to 300:1 No dealer requotes or intervention No hedging restrictions No additional commission Contract sizes from only 0.01 lots or 1,000 of base currency Options contracts available (through GOTrader) Free trailing stop and limit orders The ability to trade spot gold and silver Trade online 24 hours a day with our award winning platform Account managers to guide you through our products and services Get a 10% credit on deposits to your MT4 account
The laws are very strict here in Australia and we still have 4 of our banks with a tripple rating which means your money is very safe here.
Unfortunatley because of the Hedge laws they don't allow anyone from the USA or Indonesia.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and i will do my best to help.
Following our request for feedback regarding order execution types we have received an overwhelming response from clients. At the request of clients we will revert to instant execution as of Monday 22nd June.
In a fast moving market you can enter maximum deviation settings to your own platform to increase the execution speed and protect against any automatic system-generated requotes. The maximum deviation can be entered at the time of doing a trade, or can be setup by default in the Platform Options under the trade tab.
Please note you need to factor in the 5th decimal, so 20 pips would equate to 2 pips.
If you have any further questions on the execution style, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We appreciate your continued feedback.
Regards, Go Markets

Hi GP, I have some questions for you- *Have you made withdrawals from these guys?....any 5 digit withdrawals? *Do they refrain from Trade manipulation, like slippage? There is a broker I use and will soon throw it thru my window who manipulates my entry points into markets by as much as 15pips! *Where are they primarily domiciled? *What e-payment options do they accept? Feedback please!

I have made several withdrawals and they are always in my National Australia Bank Account the next business day after i make the request and yes i have had a few accounts with them so i have made a few 5 digit withdrawals to get money from one account to the other and if you are wondering why i have had a few accounts, i had one in my name, one in my wifes name (both are now closed which is why my live stats to livegomarkets now point to an old demo account) and now i have one in my trading business name all for tax purposes.
GoMarkets is an Australian Broker which means they are governed by ASIC - Australian Securities & Investments Commission which means they need an AFSL - Australian Financial Services License.
What this means is if they don't follow ASIC's rules there directors and owners will be Fined, Sued and possible Jailed, you may not of noticed but in all this Financial turmoil over the last year Australia still has 4 of it's banks with a Tripple A rating and one of them is the bank that GoMarkets uses, the NAB - National Australia Bank so as far as i'm concerned your money is very safe if it is in Australia.
I have to know most of this stuff as i am almost finished a Financial Services course which will allow me to give General Advice in Foreign Exchange.
This is from GoMarkets about 5 weeks ago which will explain a bit about there price feed:
"Go Markets clients may have recently seen a period of fixed spreads streaming through onto the platform. If for some reasons our Currenex price feed fails then an emergency backup feed is displayed to ensure that there is no gap in pricing and that clients can continue to trade. Go Markets will shortly have in place an improved backup feed also provided by Currenex so if the primary feed cuts out for any reason, clients would not see any difference.
Go Markets would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to any clients. We would also like to reiterate that this is a completely automated process and guarantee complete STP trading with no dealer intervention. It is important to note that it is not in the interest of Go Markets to offer these fixed spreads and we continue with the assistance of clients to offer the best possible service.
Regards, Go Markets"

Sorry Luckymoney but because of the crazy rules that the US has put in place GoMarkets just don't want the hassles and are still not taking on clients from the USA.

Hi Global Yes thanks for your great threads. I have been following your threads/posts on and off intermittently for the past few months. Great stuff. I am a complete novice to forex but am keen to get right in. At this point I am happy to buy through your wifes link the EA's you recommend and also come in under you at GoMarkets. I live in Sydney and am a trained lawyer and information specialist. Are there any books you recommend I start my education with. I will need a few days to get my act together before I purchase and jump in though so bare with me. My wife is highly suspicious of all of this so I plan to tread carefully and show her the success of various demo accounts first. First off I have noticed you haven't posted on your Robominer thread for a few weeks. Is there a reason? How is going? I am thinking of Robominer and/or MegaDroid - under your guidance of course. I noticed you also said previously that GoMarkets only give a 2 week demo account. Where do recommend for demo accounts for longer duration say 1-3 months? Regardless of where I go with the demos, I plan to come back to GoMarkets because of their very good rap here in OZ. Your help, guidance and expertise is highly appreciated. Kind regards Yschiros.

Hey there Yschiros,
One of the best places to start is BabyPips and i suggest that you take your time and read it many times and bookmark as it's a great resource.
As for your wife, a great friend of mine gave me this advice when i first got married "Happy Wife Happy Life" now isn't that the truth.......
I always say to people that are interested in learning forex to "slow down and take your time, the market isn't going anywhere and it will still be there tomorrow!"
As for Robominer, i have been running it as if i was with a US broker so no hedge, which means Robominer closes all orders once it hits 1.5% profit which isn't as good as when it closed each individual order once it hit 40 pips profit so i will be starting the test again with the original settings since i have an Aussie Broker and i can run it that way.
MegaDroid has had a couple of loss's lately so that may put pressure on a few people that are new to forex, market conditions are always changing and can be very unpredictable which you get used to the longer you watch the market but it can be very unsettling for the new comers who have there % turned up to much on MegaDroid and are all smiles while it is having it's 8 or 9 wins out of 10 but take big hits to there accounts when it has it's couple of loss's.
I set the Robominer and NeuroNet up on IBFX - Demo and these are the only restrictions "**Your Forex demo account will expire after 20 days of inactivity."
I also use IKOFX for demo and i have a Live Mini account with them and find them great for testing. (I must point out that i am an IB for them.)
Sorry i took so long to get back to you but i am in the middle of helping my wife paint the inside of our house and haven't been on the computer much.
If you have any more questions just fire away and i will help if i can.

More news from GoMarkets:
Go Markets Trading Server Upgrades Dear Client,
Trading Server Upgrades: This weekend (29th-30th August 2009) we are completely overhauling our MetaTrader4 trading servers. This involves a brand new main server, new backup server and new demo server. The new servers will improve reliability whilst also improving execution speed. We have also doubled the available bandwidth which should also vastly improve connectivity speed for clients. As part of the transition clients will be required to login to a new trading server. This new server address will be sent out to clients on Sunday. Please check your email before attempting to login on Monday morning. If you do not receive an email, please login as normal.
Spreads and Liquidity: Clients should have also been experiencing upgrades to the price feed over the past week which has seen spreads tighten considerably. Over the coming weeks and months the feed will be further upgraded with more liquidity and spreads should continue to improve.
Mobile Platform: Once the server transition has been completed we will also be able to offer the mobile trading platforms as well as the Multi-Terminal system. Please contact us for more information and download instructions.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
Regards, Go Markets

Hello all, I am also using Gomarkets for already 4 months, their platform is quite fast, no complains, they have good spreads. Although I haven't made any withdrawal yet. I subscribed using Sky-Fx.com as IB, they give me US3 per traded lot. I am happy with them too.

I just begin with Gomarkets 1 month ago , so far so good. Its flatform settings is one of the best Ive ever used. News are sent to your malbobx daily. No irritating requoting ever. I juz hv a minor problem with their communication. They advert that each trader can get an account manager for them but still I hv no idea who is my AM??? There a guy Ruth McIlroy who only send me 1 email regaring my account funding but as I tried to contact him on other issues he just never answered. Feel like my mails was sent to a ghost or sth . FYI, there no such 0.5 spread from Gomarkets. Their lowest spread is EURUSD which is around 1.3. ANW, it is still a nice spread. I just got a little annoyed with brokers keep telling us we got lowest spread on their site yet the actual spread from their flatform r ridiculously high.

Hi all
Mark has mentioned me before in this thread and yes I have been with GoMarkets since February of this year and happy with them.
I have made a number of withdrawals and like Mark says - the funds are in my account the next working day.
An update on US clients - GoMarkets now does accept them. All you need to do is fill out a form and provide some ID.
Cheers
