Am new to fx and have tried the demo platform on numerous occassions but now that I am planning to start trading and making money was wondering how secure are my funds with a broker? as have heard that in any event should a company go under so will my funds?????

Your funds are secure with most brokers as they're usually regulated. However, it's difficult to trade with some brokers so I recommend doing research before choosing one. I personally trade with FXopen & Liteforex.
