Hey gang,

I've been submitting a few articles through EzineArticles lately. Wondering if anyone has found the perfect formula for keyword density or just generally getting your articles ranked high up in Google.

I noticed one of the expert authors within EzineArticles has been getting first page Google ranking through certain articles he submits.
This is when Google shows competition of 10 million plus.

Would love to know how to achive first page goole ranking for articles. I'd be wrapped with first page for only 5 million results for the keyword search term.

Anyone had any luck this?

It's a whole lot more then keyword density that those expert authors are using to get high rankings. The fact that they have hundreds of articles all linking back to their EzineArticles profile, and probably advertise those articles via blogs and other means is how they get higher rankings. Try to think of ways you can get back links to your articles and your ezine articles profile.

I have achieved position 1 rankings for many articles, its a mixture of title, keywords, lsi, density and backlinks

You just have to put yourself in the shoes of users doing a search on a particular subject and work from there....

Keep on trying and experimenting and you'll find the way.......just like most people do...

Last but not least, your website Google Page Rank also makes the difference I believed.....the higher the page rank, it helps getting the searched keyword for your site on the first few pages......

Google says 60% of searches are unique, this means the more content, the more chances to get picked up for a keyword. Keep writing.

You will want to make sure your keyword density is over 3% but under 5%. Also, backlinks are extremely importand. Many people will stress that content is important, and it is, but I didn't hit number one for top keywords just because of how I wrote my articles. I've left my actual post untouched once I completed my on-page SEO. It was ranked in the 20s at the time. Through backlinks I was able to get it to 1.

I have a really good list of blogs that have do-follow links on their comments, if you would like the list. It is different than most lists because I check it EVERY month to make sure each blog is still do-follow.

Yeah, it mostly has to do with the amount and quality of the sites that link to the articles themselves. Things can be competitive.

I've gotten a few articles to first page for more obscure keywords, and I've seen a bunch of ezine articles rank well for some pretty competitive keywords. So, yeah, it's possible.

Yes, and the more articles you write, the faster you write them with the targeted content...the quicker your results.

If you can spend 15-30 minutes per day, 1 article per day, for a month straight, you'll see what I mean.

I think DanSmith is refering to the no.1 ranking in google of his website.

Maintain keyword density in your articles. And do remember that results doesn't comes in a day.

I have a 3 month old website that is at position 6 on google (page 1) for a keyword of about 84,100,000... what I have found is that my link building has contributed to that. The only reason I am posting here is because I use a different kind of article marketing to generate unique backlinks with associated anchor text that I want to rank for.

So if you want to quickly rank your article on "house boats"... then you would simply use a free traffic system to generate copious amounts of backlinks to your article with the anchor text "house boats" until you see that google is giving your article special treatment on page 1 of their generic search results.

When you submit an article to any article directory, once it has been approved get the url of that article and build links to it using social bookmarking sites (delicious, reddit etc) add it in the signature of any forums that you use for a while, anchor a link to it from your name if you comment on any blogs - all of this will help with rankings in the SERPs for that article.

Remember - don't spam your content around the web just to gain rankings.
wrahilly
The key is to optimize with the keywords, but ALSO go out and gain links back to your Ezine articles as well. Place the links in places like forum sigs, social network sites, blogs, etc. Anywhere you can get a good link back to your article will help you build rank.

As has already been rightly mentioned, it is very important to backlink your articles. You can achieve this by linking your article from your other articles. For ex, if your article gets approved in ezinearticles, you can write a squidoo lens linking back to your ezine article. Similarly, write another one and linkback to your previous article. The more you linkback, the more search engines will find your articles relevant to the keywords visitors are searching.

The keyword search result is nothing. One of my testing blog rank at google #1 with 7,290,000 results. And i make it within one month.
You can easily get it if you find some low search volume and low competitive keyword.

did you build enough backlinks? from my experience, you might get number 1 for like few days, then your blog will be sanded and might rank at number 1239483823.

Building relevant links is very important to score your site to the first page of google. And there are a lot of factors to be considered.
