DO NOT post links in any other section of MMG! In the program sections, the link belongs in the first post of the thread, by the person who started the topic. This also applies if the program is announced by the program admin, who cannot post another members referral ID in his post.

Signatures:
You may post up to 500 characters of text, including a maximum of 3 URLs, and no more than 5 lines including spaces. The font must be size 3 or under.

EXAMPLE:

1. http ://123.com
2. [space]
3. http ://ABC.com
4. [space]
5. http ://DEF.com

~or~

1. http ://123.com
2. http ://456.com
3. http ://ABC.com

In addition, ONE banner may be posted in your signature if you have an upgraded MMG membership only. The banner must be of standard size which is 468 x 60 pixels horizontally. Do not use any form of signature advertising services, and do not allow other people to advertise in your signature.

Or you could `report` any transgressions you come across.

sorry if I post in wrong thread,

But I would like to know if there is any new rules about avatar, because it seems that we couldn't use costumized avatar.
the only option in Control Panel is to use MMG default avatar.

QUOTE
Avatars & Usernames:
Avatars can not have excessive flashing effects. Avatars & Usernames must be in good taste and they cannot impersonate MMG admin or moderators or any other member. Determination of appropriateness is at the sole discretion of MMG Staff.

Due to some recent problems we switched this feature off. It`s currently under discussion again though.

I just went into my settings to upload a new avatar and noticed the feature had been switched off. doh.gif

BUT...it was quite an interesting experience. I never knew that MMG had so many divisions of stock avatar options, as I've never had a reason to check before. Some of them are pretty good. smile.gif

Would all members please note our rules re signatures. We are having to remove too many which don`t comply, which we really don`t like having to do.

If your signature doesn`t conform then would you please change it.

Not sure what you mean. A link to an image in your post, or in your avatar? Either way, as long as they are within the rules that`s fine.

Long time watcher, first time player. lol

I guess I missed this thread when making my signature. I'll fix it before I post again.
The link you guys put there really helped.

Just saying thanks for the heads up.

Warnings:
If at any time you are given a warning for violating the rules, don't make a big deal out of it. Warnings are used as a tool to help members become more aware of our forum rules.

Only you and the moderating team can see your warning level, so it is not a scarlet mark. If you don't say anything about it, nobody will know. Your warning level will be reduced over time if you can show us that you understand the rules and do not break them for a 30-60 day period.

If this time period has passed, and you feel your warning level should be lowered, you may kindly send a PM to one of our staff members and they will evaluate if it should be reduced or not.

How do you get one of those banners, and can you place a banner in here for your own program?

Banners to programs are allowed in signatures for our Upgraded Members only.

Hi,
Just a clarification.
Motivate someone to put his personal referral link in his signature and provide an incentive to do that, can this be considered as a rule violation?

:-)

Not sure what you mean. These are the signature rules-

QUOTE
Do not use any form of signature advertising services, and do not allow other people to advertise in your signature.

In other words, members are allowed to have their own ref links in their signatures, but they can`t allow anyone else to advertise in their signature.

Is that what you were asking?
Surfing4Roi
What I mean is that I would like to develop a system that rewards a member of Surfing-4-Roi for showing our banner with his personal referral link in his signature.
For example I want to give 0,10$ every day by exposing our banner in his signature with his personal referral link.
You know, signatures are an effective way of getting noticed and a way of creating a strong visual presence.

Rules are a little bit vague regarding this point and I don't know if it complies with rules.

QUOTE

The matter is that I'm not planning to pay someone to have my referral link in their signature but members may place their own referral link, and all without forcing anyone.
