LOL

Spanish is my first language, so I can tell you why it does it:

"My girlfriend's mom is nice and cool" translates to:

"La mama de mi novia est agradable y fresca" which is almost correct. The error comes because it's translating "mum" for "mama", instead of "mam", the difference being "a" instead of "".

mam=mother
mama=breast

The other problem is that for some reason, the translation of "nice and cool" comes in spanish as "agradable y fresca" which is also almost correct but not something people would say. But the funny thing is that when it translates back to english instead of going back to "nice and cool" it translates to "pleasant and fresh" which sounds as artificial as "agradable y fresca" sounds in spanish.

So...there u go. Language translation software needs to be smarter to be really useful. Maybe some day.

Of course, "cool" in this context has nothing to do with temperature so what word would you use for "cool"? Thanks. wynone

Spanish is my first language, so I can tell you why it does it:

"My girlfriend's mom is nice and cool" translates to:

"La mama de mi novia est agradable y fresca" which is almost correct. The error comes because it's translating "mum" for "mama", instead of "mam", the difference being "a" instead of "".

mam=mother
mama=breast

If you substitute mom for mother, you will get a completely different result. Not as funny of course. w00t2.gif

dont use translators when translating eastern laguages like chinese or japanese... comes out wrong 100% different trust me >.<

Esp when it comes to compound words... this is because it looks at each individual char and not at the word as a whole. also, japanese has diff sentence structure. uggh learnt it the hard way here
