Full Version: Remove Hyip Monitors From Posting In Threads?

I think HYIP monitors have their place but the posting of their "paid" inside HYIP and non-HYIP threads is becoming way out of hand. It's odivious all the programs pay the monitors (even the ones that aren't paying normal investors) but there are so many monitors now that it's almost as if every thread is just spammed with garbage.

It has become hard to tell what programs are really paying and which ones aren't.

Suggestion: Limit monitor accounts to only posting new threads of HYIPs and such.

We are aware of the mess the monitors often seem to cause. It's hard to limit some people but not others, although we are considering changes.

Good point, there are way too many `I got paid` posts from monitors.

add an option on HYIP or autosurf in each thread where monitor's admin could only vote.
don't know how to do it but maybe MMG's programmer could add it biggrin.gif

I would love to see the monitors have their own section.

Give each upgraded monitor their own thread, where they
can post all of their payments and ratings. Those not
upgraded would post together in a general monitor thread.

Monitors would not be allowed to post in the actual Hyip and
Autosurf threads.

If members want to see the monitor's paid posts and
program ratings, they can visit the monitor section.

This would work well for blog reporters too. wink.gif

Super ideas...Hula
Its time for MMG to ask its members for accountability and identity.
Somebody for the sake of our business has to step-up or earning online will never become a viable option for the masses online.
Currently ALL online forums just allow scammers to run wild through their forums.

just our thoughts

I agree to some extend to this suggestion, but how do you distinguish between the bloggers for instance... is it everyone who has their own site with some programs listed and how about when the members who run a monitor actually participate in a program thread with opinions and help etc?

There is a huge difference between some. I realise that the ones being referred to are the ones who never answer any questions which are asked in a thread and are promoting sites as a business rather than taking an active part in being a member. They simply come in, post paid and if extreme they post "fast" or a few other words at the most, that's it.

But who is going to monitor the monitors? Sounds like a lot of work, but I fully agree that is is becoming increasingly annoying, especially in the HYIP section but also more and more in the AutoSurf section.
Also distinguishing which programs are making selective payments.... it's a nightmare to a newbie who has no idea who is who and why the payment posts are basically invalid.
Add to that PAID posters, often with multiple usernames.

Perhaps it would be easier to make a rule that if the monitor or blogger is featured within the program, they are not allowed to post paid posts in the thread at all. They can however add useful comments in the thread explaining how things work etc. This way the program will still get some attention and it will be much more useful than just paid posts which really belong on the monitors own site.
They can post for instance why they chose that program, what features they like and help other members.
Perhaps even force them to make a post in the thread that they are a ranking monitor for the program.
The other members of the program or any MMG could actively help monitoring this by checking the ratings page on the site when realising a monitor is posting in the thread. If the monitor is not listed on the site, you would have to assume they are just an ordinary member like everyone else who will not be receiving selective payments (perhaps I am wrong about that??).

In general the bloggers are not a problem as far as I have noticed. I do realise that sometimes selective payments are made and often the bloggers are those who get theirs first... of course they do, the program want them to keep telling their followers that they are paying. But I also see that some of them pull back and tell their downline subscribing to their newsletter and bulletins to hang on, since there are others reporting delays or missing payments, they often post in the thread as well that they have sent this info out etc.
But how do we distinguish once again, who does the right thing and who doesn't? It would have to be a joint effort and I guess wouldn't work in all cases, but some perhaps and that's way better than none smile.gif

Well obviously it is up to oneself to do their own DD and search around for information before joining or adding funds to a program.
Do your research etc.
The bloggers are not that hard to research, but the monitors are impossible in most cases. They (the monitors) do not post their opinions, just payments! In general anyhow.

OK enough blabber... some food for thought unsure.gif

And these "monitors" only post referral commissions becouse they don't invest a cent in the program they are "monitoring", they are a good tool for the scammers to promote their scam sites so i can say these monitors are scam too.

My suggestion for MMG is only allow paiments posts of real invesments and not allow to post referral commmissions.

There will be much more difficult to track all this 'monitor' posts.

I agree something needs to be done.

Any real conversation get's lost in all the monitor paid post.

very annoying!

But having said that, I still think MMG is the best forum!

Maybe there's a way to flag a member if they're a monitor, and let normal members (if there is such a thing laugh.gif ) chose to view their postings or not.

In the same way we're able to chose to see sigs or smilies.

Just a thought!

Most monitors are easy to distinguish, either by their username, their signature, or their avatar. If you don't want to see their posts then you could use the "IGNORE" feature in your control panel.
longfellaz
I tried that but it's even more annoying to see page after page of empty post.

But thanks for the response.

Oh well.
