Mediterranean Sea is the worlds largest sea in the world. not south china sea.
Mediterranean Sea, inland sea of Europe, Asia, and Africa, linked to the Atlantic Ocean at its western end by the Strait of Gibraltar. Known to the Romans as Mare Nostrum (our sea), the Mediterranean is almost landlocked. It is of great political importance as a maritime outlet for the countries of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, via the Bosporus, Sea of Marmara, Dardanelles, and Black Sea, and for European and American access to the petroleum of Libya and Algeria and the Persian Gulf region, via the Suez Canal and overland pipelines.
The Mediterranean Sea covers an area of 2,509,000 sq km (969,000 sq mi). It has an eastern to western extent of 3,900 km (2,400 mi) and a maximum width of 1,600 km (990 mi). Generally
South China Sea,
arm of the Pacific Ocean, located off the eastern and southeastern coasts of Asia. On the north, it is divided from the East China Sea by Taiwan and the Taiwan Strait. It is partly enclosed on the east by the Philippines and Borneo. In the southwest it merges with the Gulf of Thailand (Siam), and on the west it is separated from the Gulf of Tonkin by the Chinese island of Hainan. The South China Sea increases in depth from the south, where much of it is less than 300 m (1,000 ft) deep, to the north, where depths of 4,600 m (15,000 ft) have been found. The total area of the sea is 2,319,000 sq km (895,400 sq mi).

I understand what you`re saying, but, much is down to which reference you look up. Some say the Med, while others show the South China Sea as being the largest, and on balance I decided to go with the latter.

Angel Falls are the tallest waterfalls in Venezuela.
Sea, general designation for all the salt water in all the specific oceans and seas that cover a large area of the surface of the earth. The name is particularly given to bodies of salt water such as the Mediterranean Sea that are partially landlocked and are smaller than the ocean to which they are generally connected. The name is also used to designate inland bodies of salt water, such as the Caspian Sea, and has occasionally been given to inland bodies of fresh water, such as the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias).
