I've always liked Clickaudit, and have used it a fair bit... but now I'm having to change all my links where I've used clickaudit to track my ads. No small task either! But first I thought I owed it to my fellow netizens to tell you what's up...

I just upgraded to FireFox 3.0.1, and now, my clickaudit links bring up this message:

Reported Web Forgery!
This web site at www.clickaudit.com has been reported as a web forgery and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

It goes on to say that the site concerned is suspected of being a "Phishing" site!

This doesn't happen with Internet Explorer.... that browser displays the site just fine.

Now, probably half of us use Mozilla Firefox, and if half of us have upgraded to the new version, that mean my advertising using clickaudit is only 75% effective. Bummer about those solo ads I just sent out!

So if you use Clickaudit, I'd advise you to get busy and find a different ad tracker to use. I'm using urlfreeze and LinkBrander, which are both free and Firefox-friendly (so far!) but there are plenty of others to choose from. I like the simple, condensed layout of Clickaudit, but sad to say I won't be using it any more...

Can`t you just alter your security settings then with FF to stop it showing up as a phishing site?

Well yes I could do that, but I already know what my site's message is so I'm not concerned that I can't see it. My problem is that the average person reading their HoneyAdvertiserPro emails or Fishing4Mails, and clicking on the paid links (that I paid for), will see that error message and not view my site.

Or did you mean I should add a paragraph in my email telling all the potential viewers to alter their security settings? I don't fancy doing that, and besides, once an ad has gone out you can't change it. No, I'm just changing my clickaudit links where I can, and will use a different tracker in future.

Thanks for the reply though!
