Full Version: Myspace As An Advertising Tool?
MoneyMakerGroup > MoneyMakerGroup Announcements & Discussion > Social Networking > Social Networks > MySpace

Uncle Awesome
Just wondering if anyone here has used Myspace.com as a means of free advertising. I always get friend requests from local restaurants, clubs, and business's, and in fact they actually worked on me.

Not sure if the same success would occur if you use Myspace to advertise an online business, but for off line business's it is an amazing tool I imagine. For instance if you own a nightclub in Flagstaff Arizona, that caters to the 21-30 year age group. All you do is search for 21-30 year olds in the Flagstaff area, and request them as friends. Make sure you have a nice page with pictures from your club and what is offered. It's a sure way of getting new clientel I'm sure. any experiences with using Myspace for online and or offline advertising would be welcomed.

i think myspacve is a great place. you don't need to spam there.

I agree

the best use of MYSPACE is to build relationships
with people

Not for Cramming your opportunity down
people's throats

What you have to do is find people related to the niche you are looking to sell to. Build a talking relationship with them and then slowly pitch to them your product or service. People will feel much more comfortable sending you money if they feel they know you relatively well.

I have invited quite a few people to join my network, however, they were just randomly selected. I'll concentrate on building relationships in future with the friends I have.

I made a myspace for my group that I was in to advertise my website and than I used a friend adder and have got over 10,000 friends so far and growing. And all I have to do to remind all of them to go to my website is to post a bulletin.

Thanks!

I've been seeing a lot of musicians and artists utilize myspace very effectively for advertising. I have a few friends who have used myspace and set up sample tracks of their music and are managing to get 'a following' as well as CD sales.

I'm noticing the 'internet marketing threads' are in great numbers with hardly any posts, for the most part - people starting 'threads' but few are responding to the marketing schtik anymore. *whew*

Btw, "UNCLE AWESOME" that baby pic is FANTASTIC!

Actually MySpace is one of the pioneers in social networking and many people and businesses have used it to promote themselves or their businesses. Even celebrities use this to reach out to their fans. And it is a very big community. Very good for advertising.

Anybody here to advise how I may advertise on MySpace?

MySpace does not seems to get much attention like the other Social network sites

Haha! That made me laugh pretty good. No, I think MySpace is pretty well gone down the tubes for good.

I agree that it is dying but it is not yet dead. There are still people using it but the decline in the numbers is very bad. From more than 50 million users to just more than 10. check out it's compete profile.

Does MySpace resemble Facebook in any way. I have not created an account there yet because I am still investigating. I don't want to clutter my internet life so to speak.

Myspace has been a very popular social network site. One can have a personal page and broadcast himself. He can connect himself to his friends and share his thoughts. He can share pictures, music and video clips and other information.. He can even create a blog and display his talents. It is very easy to use.
