i've been using a lot of social bookmarking sites then i heard about backflip. is there any features that makes it stand out among other sites?

I haven't noticed a lot of traffic from it, I got some from propeller and a couple of others like digg, those two do the best for me so far, but minimum traffic.

I would have to recheck, but I think Backflip is one of the Do Follow bookmarkeing sites.

it's a "do follow" bookmarking site so indexing-wise, useful.

social bookmarks are useless these days

I like furl as well. You can add it to multiple groups and you can see how many looked at your bookmarks.
