I'm currently gathering information about advertising on MySpace. I would
like to know if anyone has tried this form of advertising and what is your
opinion of it

I use MySpace for Marketing. I find that advertising on there is considered a form of 'spam' and unwelcomed.
Marketing, however, is an art of empowering and inspiring others. When used properly, MySpace can truly generate free leads and traffic very easily to you. The smartest thing is to NEVER mention your business/product/service on MySpace and you will keep your profile a very long time. Just build relationships and network.

Blessings,
joy

I market on MySpace but not in a spamming way. What I'll do is I'll post blogs on my page and attract friends to view my page and want to network with me.

I use a Myspace Friend Adder to add as many friends as possible in Business and Networking. People with a mindset to succeed.

Dress up your page real nice and people will come to your page and attract to you.

It's very effective.

Real advertising on MySpace died out a long time ago. There are tons of limitations on members now.

I feel like its a tough place to market. There is just too much garbage on there and people don't trust it. I think Facebook works a lot better as long as you stay away from spamming people.

I am in the process of doing the social networking advertising. It sure is confusing though, but I will make it through. I know ALOT of people that have had ALOT of success with just that method alone smile.gif I am dying to give it a shot full blast

Me personally I like using myspace, thousands of people are still joining everyday and it is not going to stop. Myspace is a very effective marketing method as long as you use it right. It is not about selling on any social site it is about building relationships with others.

Also you must remember that 97% of all home business are not making money at all so people are still looking for that opportunity to make money from home.

People think that if you write a long story about your life that it will attract people to your site, but me I say just be yourself an you will be just fine.

Marketing on MySpace is so easy it is almost a crime to do it. I've been doing it for sometime now with good results. The trick is to NOT make it look like advertising.

Thanks for the advice. It just seems to be more difficult to dress up your opportunity so that it doesn't come across as advertising. Could you offer an example? huh.gif

I totally agree. Myspace never seemed to work to well for me. Facebook, twitter, and social bookmarking sites seem to be more profitable.

The amount of free traffic generated with Myspace or Facebook is almost ridiculous. I can't believe I haven't thought of this before
