I was was wondering if anyone w had an opinion as top whether social bookmarking site like these are worth it or if they are a rip off??? They seem reasonably priced, but if they don't drive traffic why waste the money? Right? Has anyone tried any sites like this?

You can either submit to some Social Bookmarking sites yourself, or use one of the submission services you linked to and pay for it. I recently saw a submission service which will do one URL for free, and it goes out to a lot of Social Network sites. If you make a search here you should find my thread on it.

The best way is to try it out, then test it later on to see whether you`ve got the backlinks you wanted. If not, forget it, or, if you like what you get, carry on with some more.

I would imagine most, if not all, will be `dofollow` but since it`s all done automatically for you if some aren`t it doesn`t really matter.

Well, I`m not all that knowledgeable about bookmarking sites. But, I`ll try to answer them as best as I can.

I don`t quite see how that can be the case, though I don`t think it`s worth going overboard and having too many bookmarking sites to be with.

No

If someone sees your link and visits your site it can be still worthwhile. A link isn`t just about the `juice` it brings from the search engines, it`s also about real visitors, so there`s always the possibility even with the less popular ones that your link will be clicked on.

4) Are those automatic submission sites that submit ur link to all those sites rapidly legitimate?
I`m sure some are. But whether it`s done by software or by real humans I`d never trust my site to others. It really isn`t worth paying anyone else, and the best person to submit your site`s links is you.

Yes social bookmarking sites are back links. What you have to understand is that every back link is not created equal. A back link from a popular sites home page with a PR 8 is probably worth about 200,000 back links from social bookmarking sites.

But not all the social bookmarking sites have a do follow for backlinks.
Provide quality content for your site. You should be able to rank high in search engines.

Yes my friend. though you have millions, only high quality backlinks appoved by Google. In your case, you havent get it yet because of quality.

One way of getting a high quality backlink is by bookmarking, but choose some social bookmarking sites that have high pagerank and were considered trusted by search engines like Digg, Stumble Upon etc.

Just curious on what your favorite social bookmarking site is. Personally i like digg and have had the best results with them.

I suppose there are no black and white guidelines of how social bookmarking should be used, but from my personal opinion, social bookmarking is best used for SEO and not necessarily direct marketing of products and services. Most SEO specialists, like myself, use social bookmarking to get links to boost their feeder sites up in the search engines. What is your opinion on how social bookmarking is best used?
