I hope its alright that I post this here. I am looking to start my own business online, but not sure which way to go.

I thought about selling my own products, not sure if that is a good way to make money. Then I
thought about those get rich quick sites. I don't have a lot of money to get started. I am making money
doing online surveys, but I am not getting rich. The income is not steady. I want a comfortable income.

Can someone help point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

"get rich quick" programs are a waste of your time. You need to choose a subject you are passionate about, see if there are any products or programs related to that subject that you can sell for affiliate commissions, and get your own website setup.

If you are going to make real money online, there are a few things you NEED to have, regardless of what the "get rich quick" site would have you believe.

1. your own website on your own domain i.e. www.yourname.com

2. An auto-responder. Allows you to collect e-mails of those interested in the products or services you intend to sell.

3. An ad tracking system so that you can determine where to focus your advertising efforts for best results.

That's the foundation, plenty more you can do, but remember when you directly promote someone else's site, you are building
their future, not your own. If you build your own mailing list, and treat your subscribers well, i.e. offer useful information and products, they could potentially be buying from you for years to come. And you don't have to worry about losing all those hard earned referrals if the program you are promoting goes belly up because you can just begin feeding your list into the next opportunity.

Just my opinion. It's what has worked for me and many others whom I associate with.

Yes, selling your own products is one of the best way to make money online as you can keep most of the profits from the product selling. Not like get rich quick, this takes time and hard works to accomplish.

I will definitely stop you to join any get rich quick program. Just ask yourself, do you think those riches man in the world get rich quick? If every body can get rich quick, then no one will work in this world!

If you are tight in budget, you can either join any affiliate program or business opportunity and make money first. Leverage on them to force you learning all the skills needed to succeed online. I believe once your experience is enough, you can eventually create your own products and get rich from this.

A quick tip if you choose to go the list building route. (monthly expense, bare minimum of $20/month for a decent auto-responder.)

Create a free e-book or e-zine with a catchy title that is focused on the area you intend to target, i.e. a subject related to any affiliate programs or products you intend to sell.

If you think that's hard to do, think back to school days when you had to do a book report on a subject. Create an outline, do some research, and type it up.

Spend a few bucks getting a decent e-cover design. If you search around you can get a good one for next to nothing.

Give the book away as an incentive for signing up for your list. The e-cover is crucial as it adds perceived value to the book and will increase sign ups.

If you can make decent digital products like this, you can usually find some JV giveaways to get in on which can build your list REALLY fast.

Thanks for the great advice. I have seen many of those get rich quick schemes on television. I often thought there was no way I could earn the type of money they were discussing. It sounded too good to be true. I also noticed signs in my neighborhood that advertised making money from selling property. I also saw an infomercial on television for the exact same thing. I am skeptical.

Looks like my best bet is to sell my own products.

Geting rich quickly is unrealistic thing at all what if you want to be engined in, I think, there is no way to make you rich quickly. but you can make some money online by your own business !

It's great that you are convinced those get rich quick schemes don't work.

They are create by idiots preying on those who are the most vulnerable, newbies who just got started.

I have to strongly DISAGREE with this point, at least in your case. shocking.gif

If you are going to sell your own products...and have a REAL business built on it, you are going to have a LOT to do.

Well, if you are going to create your own product and sell it...it is going to take a LOT of HARD WORK and time. And in your case you may not last that long since you mentioned you are currently short on funds on your other recent post.

Creating your own list of subscribers is CRITICAL, along with all the other points mentioned by jraymond.

IMHO however, if you ask a newbie to do all that...they can't.

They don't have the funds to purchase all the required services they need to collect their list of subscribers. And many of these services are monthly subscription based. Most people take quite a long time learning how to use those services...not to mention LEARNING HOW TO USE IT FOR THEIR MARKETING.

tiger, I strongly advise you to just sell some affiliate products first. Look around and learn as you do so. Invest more in your education from REAL experts who made millions in their craft. Learn marketing. Learn how to build a business, and the systems to run it.

Don't go into deep at once. You'll get information overload and get stuck like a rabbit in a car's headlines.

BTW...I noticed that you are promoting Mike Dillard's products? I purchased his staff as well, and using his information to great effect.

Why aren't you building your MLM business using his products? unsure.gif

When I started looking for opportunities on the net the only thing I knew is that I DID NOT want to sell anything... My previous experiences with selling products, prospecting, or even cold calling were horrendous...

I then tried Paid To programs with limited success... I found it difficult to make a significant amount of money.. Then, I came across something that has changed my life forever, and the best thing was I didn't have to sell anything, or ANYONE...Take some time to research Search Engines and forums until you find something that works well for you! BEST OF LUCK, and feel free to contact me at anytime along the way!

I suggest you to try project payday, simply because you don't need any money up front and you can start making money within 15 minutes. I average around 2,500 dollars every month with it. Check it out at http://1homebasedbiz.com/payday.htm
