Does anyone believe that the oil companies will do anything to lower fuel costs after yesterdays hearings? Or do you think that nothing will change and the oil companies will always have full control over the cost of gas? Are those companies unbreakable?

Big Oil companies answer to shareholders, not the public. They already prepped us for $4.00/gal national average by the end of the year. So what, now we might only see $3.80 by the end of the year? They will still increase their profits.

Oil companies were called before congress when oil hit $50 ... and then 75 ... and here they are again. I guess every 25 bucks they are going to keep singing the same old song to Congress. I hope you realize this is all a show. Then come election time these politicians can at least say they tried to get tough.

The song they sing to Congress is basically that they have to have larger profits in the up cycles to compensate for the down cycles. It is bogus but that is their claim.

Do you think that if a democrat gets in office, that things may change as far as gas prices and the big oil companies control?
