Can this FAPS be placed on different charts at the same time? Any other currency tried successfully?

You can use it on several charts if you wish, but it's been made for EUR/USD only. I don't know about the new version, but the old one gave me bad results on other currencies...

Well, I installed the FAPS with FXDD's metatrader. I started with the demo account amount of $3000, dragged the FAPS into the EUR chart and used all of Seb's settings listed on the blog for the FAPS. The smiley face is in the upper right-hand corner. I have so far seen no trades yet, but I assume all of this will change next week?

Did you activate it?
Check on my FAPS site, step 3, make sure you've checked the same boxes as me. If yes you should get your expert ID within minutes after starting MT4 with FAPS loaded, and you then need to activate it in the members area. You'll get a key that you'll enter in your settings. FAPS won't work if it isn't activated.
You can also check in your logs to see if there is anything interesting in there that would explain your problem.

The key to start with was only 6 digits or something ("0123456"?) I placed that in the section on their site and it gave me a new 5 digit number. I entered that in and it didn't look like I needed it to start with.

I'm at my job right now and my computer at home is doing everything. Your screen shots look just like mine. I may, however, not have the "Allow DLL Imports" box checked, but that would be all I haven't done.

I think you're confusing the default key that was in your settings by default, and your expert ID...
Your ID should be given to you a few minutes after you start MT4 with FAPS attached to a chart. You can't miss it, it'll be shown in a new window. You need your expert ID to generate your activation key. This is all said in the manual, make sure you read it.

Well what's sure is that "0123456" isn't your expert ID! It can't be.
If your EA isn't correctly activated you'll see it in your logs.

i am completely new the this whole forex thing im still in learning the, i bought faps yesterday and i followed every step on the demo i have made 364$ of profit that is really nice, i wonder wich website did you create your live account.
do you think i will be ready for real money if i just follow the step?

By "website" I guess you mean broker...
If you've downloaded MT4 from my site (Step 1) then you're already using the same broker as myself. If not then check the link.

Ok Seb I'm back....

Metatrader from FXDD never asked me for a registration code. I have everything all set up the way it's supposed to and no tades whatsoever have taken place.

Check your logs. There should be an explanation.
Didn't you at least get the window with your expert ID? If not then it means that alerts are not enabled, check the EA's options, first tab. You may not be able to do anything right now though, as the markets are closed... In the worst case you'll see that on Sunday night or Monday.

what is micro lots? your blog said to use micro lots for small deposit, but i couldnt find any information about that

I had this with the Previous version. Contact Support with your Clickbank receipt details and Marcus will point you to pre activated copy and you can then start trading.

Well in this case you'll have to use the solution Yellowking suggested.




Micro lots are 10 times smaller than mini lots. Using mini lots (0.1, 0.2, etc...) on a $500 account would be too risky as you could wipe it out easily, so it's safer to use micro lots (0.01, 0.02, etc...).

You can't lol!
This depends on your broker. If they support it, you must ask them to set your account to use micro lots.
You probably won't get it on a demo account though, but you can simulate it easily (a $5000 demo account with mini lots (0.1) is the same as a $500 real account with micro lots (0.01)).

Have you try this: You need to click Tools then Options then Expert Advisor and make sure live trading is click.

Ok, that however was NOT what I had on. I only had on the "allow live trading" one that was in the window for the EUR/USD chart. Let's see what happens tonight when the market opens.


UPDATE: Ok, it finally asked me for that serial number thing at 6pm Eastern time(Thanks wegot2go! I think that's what you suggested was it ) Ok I inserted the number where it's supposed to go and I don't see the alert anymore. Am I active for trading now? It's been a while now and still no trades.

UPDATE #2: Nevermind, It's trading now. So far I'm stuck in a negative - my leverage is 200:1 with a $3000 demo acct, and I'm using Seb's settings from the blog. I'm hoping all is going to go well.

I've been running a demo account with fastbrokers for a few days now with 20 profitable orders but my lot size hasn't changed in any way my settings are
Lots=0.00000000
LotsRiskReductor=3.00000000
MaxOrders=5
MaxLots=1

Hi,

You don't necessarily have a problem. The system won't change your lot size every day, it'll change it only when your equity has increased enough.

PS: PatriotStef: Even if you're temporarily in a negative trade, you are not stuck since with my settings, the system will do other trades (up to 5 maximum) while waiting for this one to recover. This is actually the reason why I'm allowing more than one simultaneous trade.

Hey guys! It's trading well now! $200+ in only 12 hours with a demo $3000 account!! WOW !!!

Hopefully, this can work with only $300 and the drawdowns will not wipe out the account as the months (and hopefully years) march on.

I did it successfully on a $594 account... I'd still suggest to start with $500 if you can instead of $300. Cause my biggest draw-down so far, using the minimum lot size, has been around $200.

Hardly... Honestly I don't think it would. I've been down by $200 only once so far, they are usually smaller.
I'd suggest to put LotsRiskReductor at the minimum in the beginning and then increase it to 3 when you reach $700 of *equity*

Then set LotRiskReductor to 1. It's the lowest you can go. I don't consider my own settings are really risky though.

That's what I'll do when I go home tonight. My computer is still on doing the trading - I'll just turn the setting to 1 for LotRiskReductor. I think everyone should probably do that since most all of us don't have hundreds, let alone thousands, to just gamble on. The safer, the better.

This will reduce both drawdowns AND profits as it'll make use use the smallest possible lot size in the beginning. You'll probably have to wait a long time before the lot size increases.

It depends on everyone to decide what his settings should be depending on his objective, and I don't think that setting it to 3 like myself is really risky, but you've asked for the safest possible setting...

I'll suggest something then, and then everyone can comment on it - let's say we have the lotriskreductor to 1, when a major drawdown occurs, we then tune it to 3 since the major drawdown is "over for now", after about one month's time, we set it back to 1 again. How's that?

You never know what's going on, how or when.
IMHO you'd better let the system work. It's working great now in both directions, and an event like what we've seen by the end of July (I guess that's what you're referring to by "huge draw-down"), which is exceptional, probably wouldn't be a big problem unless you are extremely unlucky. What happened in July was partially due to the fact that the old version of FAPS was adapted to the overall uptrend we've had for one year and a half, and this was in some way a mistake as it had to end sooner or later. The new version doesn't have this characteristic.

Well then in that case, I'll take your word for it. I'll leave everything at the settings you suggested and I'll try for the real $300 account probably by the beginning of next week - and then I'll report back to you guys on how the progress is going.

The best thing you can do is to exchange your LR for some PayPal funds. I might even be able to help you do that as I'd like to have some more LR funds, but not before a week or so.

You can exchange your LR to PayPal with any reputed exchanger. try cashforaction dot com. He gives clean PayPal and very reliable. He will accept LR happily. He is available on Yahoo messenger all the tIME.
