In my years of expierence of playing texas holdem online and offline. I would have to say that thier are no secrets. The same people make millions every year because they have sat at the table and LEARNED. They know when to make the right moves, by caculating pot ods, reading oponets etc. No secret to it. You can make one move one time and be right and win a huge pot. The next time u can make a different read and be wrong and use you bankroll. Takes time and expierence to learn poker. Readin a book or something isnt going to help u.

Strongly agree.

Books cant possibly teach you what actually playing at a table does.

i'm sure at the lower levels, .50/1 and lower.. understanding mathamatics and position is good enough for you to come up positive.

didn't they have a robot b4 that could come up at a slow but steady rate on pokersites micro/small limits? i'm sure i read that somewhere.

agree with joey82 and kenny, practicing is the secret, and loosing is a part of that...

Of course you need to know the basic tricks and you need to konw to what you gotta pay attention...

I agree Poker is mainly about experience but there is nothing wrong with taking in valuable information to use at the table to make you a better player.

I have learned yesterday how to play, lol.
On first deal i was having flash A high. My opponent was having nothing, and he call all my bets. On the end, he was having 10 10 10 8 8, i was having....flash...and I lost. That was very good, never again poker for me.

Things like this happen more often than what one would imagine in poker. You get a str8 and someone else gets the "flash"(new word I guess). You get the "flash", someone else gets the full house.

What I hate the most is when it doesn't even cross my mind. Being right in front of my face and not think of it. Makes one feel like a real dummy. Specially if you're the one betting like you have a Royal.
