What happen if the oil prices in the market will not stabilise and the trend is always going up. And if the price of the petrol will go up our basic commodities also will follow. IF this is the case, all the subsidies from the goverment are nothing, even the sallary increases if there is any, also not enough to coup up our daily expenses. Question is, what we gonna do to deal with this problem. Shall we say... ''we just wait and see''... what will happen next?
In real terms I don't think we've actually hit record highs yet (that was a couple months ago, it may have since then) but while we should be prepared for higher prices considering it is a finite resource that's used in many product from fuel to plastic, there is a possibility of supply increasing in the short to medium term if the OPEC oil cartel breaks down.
In the short term, the OPEC cartel needs to be broken down to allow competitive pricing (this is unlikely though). But in the end alternative sources need to be found for all oil-based products and in this day and age these solutions need to be environmentally friendly. For example, biofuel works but the process into growing, collecting and refining it gives off significant carbon emissions. From what I've seen, Switch2Hydrogen seems to have the most promise.
