Three Gifts I give to You
I hold out my hands to you One hand slowly unfolds Revealing to you the key of my heart. My other hand hold the password to my soul. These two gifts I place in your hand Along with the third gift. The one that bounds the other two together This gift is my trust. These three gifts I give to you My heart, my soul and my trust. As I place my hand over the top of yours Listen as I say "I love you". I turn and walk away Now you hold all that I am in your hand The choice is yours..

The Gift Of Friends

I'm In Heaven, And My Heart Beats So That I Can Hardly Speak...
Hello, darilngs. I felt that little bit of showtune was appropriate for the way that I feel today. I want nothing so much as to drive down to Parkersburg and visit the Boy. I know I'm rushing, but I don't care. I really Like this guy, and I'm going to do what makes me happy, even if it ends up hurting me in the end. Oh, and for those of you who were wondering, he's 21. How is it that I always manage getting with men younger than me? With a few notable exceptions, almost every person I've Liked has been younger than me. But, that's okay, since he's very mature for that age. In a little twist of irony that I forgot to mention last night, he actually knows the infamous Holden. It turns out that they talked some in high school, though they never actually met or anything. Needless to say, it slays me that even this guy, who I've just barely begun to get to know, has talked to he who I hated with such a passion a few years ago. It seems like every gay man in the tri-state area knows Holden in one way or another. I mean, is there anyone who hasn't? Honestly. I really don't feel like going to work today, even though I'm just working in "A Bay." I'm just...I don't know. It's how I always feel when I Like a guy. I want to spend more time with him, not go to work and do the boring stuff that entails Life. I'd much rather just snuggle with someone all day and write. Perhaps one day, when I've actually established my writing career, I can do that. We can live in our spacious country house and just spend all of our time together. That, for me, is the ideal Life. I've often said that I can endure anything if only I had someone to Love, someone to hold me at night. Who knows, perhaps this guy may prove that magical elixir that will restore my spirits. On a final note of Love, I think that, if this works out, my soul will finally be able to heal from the great disappointments of my Life. The anguish I've suffered as a result of losing Roger, David, and Kelly might finally begin to be wiped away. I've spent so much time wasting away over them, and at last it seems I might be able to move on with my Life. I know that may be a premature judgment, but this might be the beginnings of a new Life for myself. I, the lonely one, the heartbroken, may at last be able to see the light that so many others have known. It's a good feeling. Well, I guess that's about all that I have for this afternoon. I had thought about exercising today, but my tummy is sort of upset, and so I think I'll pass on that for today. Besides, I'd like to spend a little bit of time with my Mom, since we haven't really got to talk for a while. I spend most of my free time on the phone with Clint. Which reminds me, I have one last thing. How does this sound: "Yes, Clint and T.J. are having a wine tasting party tonight. They just bought a fabulous new set of Waterford crystal and they're eager to show it off." Hmm...I think that has a nice ring to it. Tab, I'm sure you'll remember the significance of a hypothetical statement like that. With that, I'm off. I love you all. |
