I am accepting memberships into my Yahoo Groups experiments.

These experiments will have to do with your dreams.... we will experiment on what types of things will cause certain kinds of dreams and alot of other fun stuff... Some of the stuff we will be doing is:

1. Seeing if some types of MUSIC actually causes NIGHTMARES.
2. Ways to induce Lucid Dreamings (Lucid Dreaming is knowing you are dreaming while you are sleeping so you can do anything you want)
3. How to control the kinds of dreams we have IE: Learn how to have dreams about space or learn how to have dreams about sex.
4. Astral Projection
and much more

EVERYONE WILL BE REQUIRED TO KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL WHICH WILL HELP THEM WITH THE DREAMS THEY HAVE

I do know that there is alot of spam coming from Yahoo Groups but I manually add and delete the e-mails going out. This will make it impossible to get spam from this group... Which is good

I manually verify members also. It may take 24 hours to be verified. I will start the experiments in a few days. I need as much active members as possible before I close it down and go private.

SUCCESSFULLY CREATED A "NIGHTMARE TRACK"....

1. You will listen to this music for 3 nights even while you are sleeping
2. when you wake up... make sure to write down your dream even if it wasn't a nightmare
3. After the 3rd night post your dreams you had for the 3 nights. If I find that music can cause NIGHTMARES this experiment will be over.

After this experiment I will have one more nightmare experiment that will involve food instead of music (much more comfortable then wearing headphones) take votes on the next experiment which could include...

Does eating different kinds of food make you have more vivid dreams or lucid dreams then normal.

Does smoking marijuana cause vivid or lucid dreams

Does tobacco cause vivid or lucid dreams

Does ALCOHOL effect your dreams

Does waking up and staying up for awhile then go to bed actually cause lucid dreams.

**THESE WILL HOPEFULLY BE FUN.... WITH THE MARIJUANA AND TOBACCO ONLY PEOPLE WHO CURRENTLY DO THAT WILL NEED TO DO IT... IF YOU DON'T SMOKE YOU WONT HAVE TO**

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN IN... JOIN THE YAHOO GROUP.

For your voting part...you providing the needed stuff for #2? tongue.gif Btw I do that one and it doesn't affect my dreams wink.gif

I've been reading your posts and have a question regarding this one. If someone rarely ever remembers their dreams do any of these have an effect? I can't remember the last time I've remembered a dream, so can I actually have a lucid dream, or astral project?

Oh and are you still doing the tarot card readings? I'm very interested in those things, but also a huge skeptic...well I think I'm a skeptic about most things tongue.gif

Interesting project. What caused you to initiate it? smile.gif

I've always been interested in lucid dreaming, out of body, etc so I joined. This sounds like fun. I used to keep a dream journal a few years ago, so it shouldn't be hard to get back into.
I like how you mentioned that you are going to take this private, sounds like a few programs we know of rofl4.gif

If someone rarely remembers there dreams..... You can remember a little bit of them right when you wake up... When you do that after a few weeks I guarantee if you keep it up you'll be able to remember you dreams easily. They don't have a big effect... They'll make you remember them easier... and yes knowing your regular dreams makes you one step closer to having a lucid dream and astral projection

I'm doing the tarot card readings... I've just been busy and lazy lol.

Just am very interested in the Mind altogether and dreams are pretty much unexplored.... We've explored space, stars, the jungle, and the brain but we haven't went in depth of the dreams... thought I should start it smile.gif.

We have to take it private so we won't be getting new people everyday.... so everyone will have a chance to do the experiments if they wish. The ones when using tobacco and foods... you don't have to do it if you don't smoke or are allergic.

Interesting idea, although i hate to say, you will get nowhere because you are not doing proper tests and I doubt that you have any scientific background to make the tests worthwhile. I'm not even sure you fully understand the fundamentals of dreams.

1. Each person is different. In order to have a worthwhile test, you should first do a complete psychological survey on each participant, along with health tests, etc. From there, you start a thesis on what stimuli can create the desired effects while sleeping, than you test it.

2. You need participants who keep a regular sleep schedule that they will never divert from, so that you can change one single input only and see if it has an effect. Pulling people at random without knowing anything about them wont do you any good.

3. The point of the experiments should not be known until the very end, a la the placebio effect. Simply put, if you say you are attempting to cause nightmares, some people, if u had a big enough focus group, will enduce a nightmare just because they are excited about participating. It should not be known before.

4. Lucidity is the stepping stone for advanced dreaming, however, i dont think you know what your getting involved in. Astral projection is something else, not dreaming. You can do alot of harm to someone because you do not fully understand what the mind is capable of.

Good luck with your experiments though. If you are really truely interested, its worth actually reading the results of experiments by professionals who have already done them. Remember, if you cannot isolate every single stimuli besides the one input u r testing, than you can throw away the results.
