Everything we have in our lives (good or bad) is as a direct result of our behavior. Our behavior is as a direct result of the way we think.
I believe this statement to be true.
The good news therefore is, that by changing the way we think we can change what we have in our lives.
By this I don’t mean that, if we have a horrible brother, we can “think” him away, but rather if we stop thinking our brother is horrible, he will probably stop being horrible. (Your brother may be wonderful – this was just an example).
I once heard of a man who always spoke badly of the rich. He called them “cheats”, “despicable bunch of crooks”, “probably screwed someone anyway.” Now I know some rich people and they are some of the nicest most generous people I have ever met, but what was interesting to me was that he was broke.
During a conversation I was having with a friend about him, my friend said “He will always be broke. Why would he want to become something he despises?”
So my question to you today is:
What do you think of rich people? And do you think these thoughts affect the level of your wealth? I look forward to your answers.
Be abundant.

When I see a rich person usually I think, "One day...(soon)". As for how it would affect me, I'd probably just do what I want more (i.e Permanent vacation, probably mostly spent in the mountains). I don't really think money (or insert whatever they want most here) changes people, I think fundamentally people are like however they were before they had ____ but were either too insecure or weren't in a position to act that way without ____.

Thank to you both for your answers.
I also think that money multiplies what you already are.
If you are grumpy when your broke, I think you will be grumpy and rich. If you are generous when you are broke, I think you will be generous when you are rich.
Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Rich people inspired me than i was young. Well it help a lot if you are living between rich people. They advices you, protects form going downhill.. Well i think if you are living between poor of greedy people you'll finally be the same..
To be rich you have to be clever. Well if you won lottery. Of course than you have to read a books, you thinking where to invest your fund.
I think rich people are good.

I agree, money don't change people, expect that some ppl might get addicted to moneymaking and care only about money in their life - but thats based deep inside the person and money only make it possible to come out. In my opinion money are just the key that breaks most obstructions. If I was rich (and it will come one day! ) I would completely change my lifestyle. I like luxury

rich people got rich from playing the game better than other people. I look it this way:
why study for 10 years to get lawyer qualifications to become a lawyer.
When you can have no qualifications and startup a lawyer firm and earn more than the lawyers.

Well. There is so much to learn from wealthy people. There are a number of attributes I believe honest hardworking Rich people have. 1. A positive mental atitude 2. They are willing to help others 3. They are doers of the word and not hearers only 4. They respect others 5. They have a structured, organised customer base 6. They have a vision 7. They take risks 8. They use there money to help Charitable Organisations

Congrats u 'wendymay1' ! The points that you mentioned are of a pertinence absolute. If every human being gave 10 % of his incomes only, everybody would to have to drink and to eat. Probably there would be no more war on earth!

I also always think "someday soon". I really don't like the ordinary 9-5 life ... I can't picture doing that until age 65 (retirement). Like one famous rapper's movie title states ... I need to "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" lol

Sounds like an elongated explanation of the "Self-fulfilled prophecy" theory, which I do believe holds some truth.
What you continually tell yourself can begin to shape your reality. The same is truly of your daily encounters. Friends and family that support and encourage you will likely increase your motivation, self-image and respect. Of course, vice-versa also applies.
"Be careful what you feed your mind" is a maxim worth remembering.

On that note, I've noticed a rather ironic twist.
Most of the rich people I know are rather humble, for the most part. You could eat dinner with them or have a friendly phone conversation, and if you didn't already know they were rich or "well-to-do," there would be little to no indications within your encounter.
However, the people that are more prone to brag are those who are climbing the "middle-class" rope; aka "climbing the ladder." In many cases, all these average "50-80K annual salary" workers care to talk about is "MY accomplishments," or "What I have been doing."
Quite the twist, indeed. The people who have the right to brag stay quiet, but the average citizen can feel the need to boast about every $1000 bonus he/she receives, and turn their surprising reward into a dinner's "main converation." (Never letting you get a word in)
Then again, maybe that's only an American thing. Or, possibly just my own, individual experience.

Very well said. I have noticed a interesting effect of our shared business, people can still have that "climbing the ladder" attitude when they earn an six figure income. I think a lot of life lessons are negated when you earn money as quickly as network marketers do. I hope that this is unique to the people that I have had the "pleasure" of meeting.

Yeah, funny how that works, isn't it?
I met a group of rich people last summer and spent about 4-5 days with them. All of them acted like your average American citizen, except they never talked about their own money or accomplishments. They continually inquired about the opinions and experiences of me and friends. In fact, they seldom even mentioned anything about themselves unless we asked them first.
After we returned from our visit, I was extremely surprised to hear my friend tell me: "You know that guy runs the 3rd largest law firm in the United States?"
"What? I never knew that, and he never mentioned anything about that."
"Nope; he wouldn't. Even if you asked him, he might not have told you the whole story."

It all depends on who the rich person is. Some rich people are very generous and giving with their money to charitable organizations. On the other hand, some rich people have the attitude that, "I'm better than you."

I think their are many factors that depend on weather a person will be wealthy or not. Part of it has to do with how he/she was raised and and what kind of education they had, and whether or not education was encouraged in the home. The second and more important factor is that person's own personality and motivation. If a person is motivated enough and has a decent level of intelligence, which most people have, they can look for ways to improve their financial standing. Rich people who did not inherit their wealth usually are those who capitalized on their opportunities and had the motivation to work hard and adjust what they were doing to make the most of changing opportunities.

We are all rich because we all own the most valuable asset there is - anywhere; our brain, through which we have the ability to THINK. Learn to think, harness this ability, and one can create the destiny of one's choice & desire.

when I see a rich person I see them as a peer...
while it's true that some people get rich by scamming others, most actually have made their money by legitimate practices.
It really depends on your current situation I think. And someone's outlook on a rich person will vary depending on what position they are in financially.
Some people seem to resent the rich simply because they are jealous. People that are poor with no hope of ever becoming rich themselves seem to like to just write off that the rich people are just "cheaters" or "scammers" because they don't want to face the fact that those people got to be rich, while they struggle to pay bills.
It ties into the justification rule where people need to feel justified for everything they do in life. A poor person for example, needs justification as to why THEY are not rich, and since they won't blame themselves (many people prefer to blame others for their problems) the simply convince themselves that rich people are scum and since they don't picture themselves as nor do the aspire to become scum it justifies why they aren't rich.
