yah true, 5% are forex guru, 95% are big mouth scammer, con people like nobody biz.

For beginner - you can go to http://www.babypips.com and learn your basics there first. What you need to know is, what are the terms we forex traders use. For an example, you must know how to differentiate the meanings of Long ( buy ) , short ( sell ), pips, Value for each pips and so on. You must know all these basics. Then read the chart section too. You must know how to read and recognize a pattern of the currencies. Example, you must know where the currency is heading, long or short, so that you will know what to do next, whether to buy or sell. Then you must know which broker you are preffered to do business with.

So those are the 3 basics of forex, every forex trader knows by finger tips.

3.) Brokers. - google and go to the forex section in MMG
4.) News - Bloomberg, google forexnews

If you are a beginner, i recommend you do your own homework first. Dont practise of the attitude " get scammed first, learn later". Thats nonsense. Learn your basics, then register yourself with some online brokers. Nowdays they offer virtual currency for you to play with.

From my own experience, take about 3-6 months, learn with your virtual currency and learn some strategies. Know how and when to place orders and read a lot on indicators and chart reading. The more you read, the more help it will be.

If you are not too sure, you can always go for the signal services. But dont rely too much on them because, every forex trader has his or her own technique and risk taking capability. I do sell my own technique but, i think you would at least need to have the basics first.
