If you want to learn about Forex then have a look at BabyPips and ForexFactory also ForexBastards site has some good reviews on platforms.

Take your time and make sure you spend time developing a solid trading mentality!

You can try Marketiva for a start as your trading platform.... Make use of the virtual money given to you before putting in a real money....tried for a few months first...If you're able to make a profit from the virtual money given and you're confident then by all means go ahead with your real dollar..

I think that demo accounts should only be used to get used to the platform, anyone can make money in a demo account as it's not your money and the emotion doesn't come into it.

Once you are familiar with the platform and you know how to place orders and use all of the indicators then you should start with a mini account and work on your money management and trading style.

One thing is for sure, it takes a lot of discipline and you will have some ups and downs but it will come down to how well you can keep your emotions in check!

If you are worry about oversea broker and you're living in Singapore, you can try local broker like phillip futures or saxobank. With local offices, support and withdraw of money will be simplified
