Anyone know what the top cities in the US are for real estate now? I would think coastal areas, CA, NC, and FL specifically.
las vegas
Stay away from NC =p We have good housing prices if your away from places like Wilmington and such and it'd be cool if it doesn't get overpriced due to speculation
I also think Las Vegas, but here in S. Cal it is SO pricey! A little one bedroom condo will cost you easy $500K.
Good for us that already own, but people just getting in...ouch!
Orlando,Florida.

When it comes to real estate it's Vegas.
Many stories on the web about the new trend which is build in Vegas. Lots of stars and such are building there now. Haven't been there since I was a kid but I might have to go check it out
I talked with a RE agent last week. He lives outside Colorado Springs and said that the market in many areas of the state have been on fire for most of the past two years.

I am pulling out of the Phoenix market right now, since I think prices are leveling or even going to fall soon. The number of resale homes are climbing right now, hopefully I am getting out in time.
Denton, Texas is home to University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University and is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex that is still untapped and could have lots of potential. Here are a few of the many communities there:
Robinson Oaks (Grand Homes) (Mercedes Homes) Wheeler Ridge (Fox & Jacobs Homes) Country Lakes (Multiple Builders)
well said
I would say that within every city there will always be hot areas and slow areas. So your question is perhaps overly broad.
I'm not sure if NY would qualify...but it seems like everything here always appreciates because there are ALWAYS people who want to move here but rarely who want to leave.
