Full Version: Is There A Mmg Chat Room?
MoneyMakerGroup > MoneyMakerGroup Announcements & Discussion > Community Discussions > Forum Suggestions

GoldGuy
Hello,

Can we maintain a chat room that joins MMG members in single chat room and discuss about related stuff?
This is only a suggestion. unsure.gif

But I always love forums with chat rooms plugged in.. want to hear your feedback

Peace

In my opinion, chat rooms are great in a social network site, but as far as money making goes, it's really not something that may be worth the work.

Web chats tend to use up a good amount of resources, which could bog down MMG.

I would suggest just add your YM or Messenger to your details...find others here and invite them to a chat.

It would be a good idea, but it would require a separate, dedicated server from my experience which is expensive.
On the other hand, I am using everywherechat.com for my own forex chatroom and they offer Java, Flash or IRC connection options. Worth a look there Mr MMG mods if you are considering a chat room.

I don't think we are really considering a live chat room. With a community this big it becomes too difficult to control spam. Unfortunately with chat rooms, a few determined individuals can ruin the experience for everyone. Additionally, unlike forums where information is saved for everyone to read and learn from, in chat rooms quality information can become lost within a few minutes, never to resurface.

I can`t see it happening here. I`ve never really been a fan of chat rooms. I think an earlier reply sums it up quite well -
