Who told you that? FXOpen up until now has been a Market Maker broker. A market maker places small volume trades to market via the company'shedged netting position. This is how you can trade as little as 1000 units of the base currency on the forex market. A bucketshop is a different animal since they have no netting position and their service is designed to make it easier for you to lose than to win. In a bucketshop, your trades never actually make it to the market directly or indirectly.

Now FXOpen has a ECN/STP option where your trading volume is place directly with liquidity providers (FXOen can give you direct access to 1/3 of the total global forex liquidity) or matched with other traders within the currency network. Supply and Demand is how an ECN market works. However, the minimum volume for an ECN trade is 1.00 standard lots or 100,000 units of the base currency so it's not suited to everyone. Traders with less than $10,000 initial trading capital are better off in the market maker side to enable proper risk management.

And yes, a lot of people do make money regularly with FXOpen as they have had the proper training and experience to do so on a consistent basis.

ya, my short trades on GU made yestoday got more than 100 pips today, if I hold till now, I would get more than 200pips
