As some of you may know I have a serious and incurable lung condition.
About 7 weeks ago I had a severe relapse which started as a cold. I could barely breath and any physical activity was almost impossible. In fact - my daughter and my partner had been covering another forum where I cover some assigned time when I was too weak to do it ( which was almost always).I want to say that these past couple of months have certainly put things into great perspective. Although I have been ill for almost 3 years (unable to work out of the house due to extreme shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, etc.), this episode has really brought home the realization of life. Yes, when we are young we feel like we are immortal - but life is very precious and short.
I am 58 - with grown 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I have a wonderful partner ( after 2 divorces - one after 10 years and one after 25 - and both of my ex-husbands are close friends). I have 3 little dogs, 2 cats and 4 little kittens - life is GOOD!! I am alive to live and enjoy it!

I hope all of you take the time out of all your busy schedules to really stop and think about what is really important to you. Take time to enjoy life!! Take time to love and be loved!!! Remember the "OLD" saying - take time to smell the roses!!
