Though I'm pretty well known in other forums, this is my first post on MMG. I see all kinds of investments being talked about here, but nothing about dot com investing (buying online companies, increasing profits and selling).

Considering my average return and that of a number of other investors is over 600% within 6 months on each, I'm surprised it's not being talked about more.

I don't know of to many other investments where you can get that large of a return that quickly with almost zero risk. Is anyone else on MMG investing in buying online companies?

It's due to the amount of investment required to actually purchase companies. Most people don't have this type of money to work with. Nor, do they have the proper knowledge or expertise to locate profitable companies.

Unfortunately, most people seem to just want to throw a few bucks into a get rich scheme to see if they'll get luck and make money.

Since the web is in its infancy, I expect this area of investment to grow quite a bit over the next few decades.

why not just look at www.wbwso.com , then you get all the online investment you need and have to do 0 work yourself.. easy easy

I assumed, opening this thread, that it was about investing in domain names (not websites, just the domains). It looks like it have diverged a bit from that, but consider this anyway:

Lots of people invest in domain names. It is a vibrant investment community and there are many resources on the web to help people get started. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links here, but I just wanted to let people know that lots of people have made millions investing in domain names and, while it would be very difficult to do that now, it is still possible to make money investing in domains.
