QUOTE
An Associated Press news report told of 1,900 sheep following one another over a cliff in Turkey, resulting in the deaths of 450. The sheep had been grazing when, without explanation, some members of the herd began leaping from the cliff.  The others followed the lead, providing an example of "sheepish" behavior.

What a fitting metaphor for the herd-oriented behavior of humans.

Getting a person in touch with their own self helps us better directing our own lifes while living collectively with other humans or for that matter any life forms. It works just opposite to brainwashing. smile.gif

So 1450 sheep landed on top of 450 sheep? That is why only 450 died? Must have been a small cliff....

Thankyou FinallyRetire.

This what I have been trying to argue .

Our governments induce fear to obtain their own ends.

Although terrorism is awful and cruel.

It is not as big a threat as something such as Aids.

I am definitely not having an ID card now.

I am also going with my'' gut instinct'' even if I can't explain why.

I KNEW I wasn't a damned sheep.BahBah. harhar.gif

What if your gut instinct tells you to follow the other sheep?

In that case .

I think my gut instinct would be, to ignore my gut instinct. rofl4.gif rofl4.gif

"What happens when the sheep begin to suspect that there are alternatives to their present condition; that their lives might have a greater purpose than to be part of a pile of corpses? What if they should learn of greener pastures elsewhere, entry to which is not restricted to a privileged few, the enjoyment of which requires only a breaking away from the restraints of the herd? What if word of such life-fulfilling options begins to spread among herd members?"

btw, is there such a thing as a "dying corpse"? Isn't it that the corpse is already dead in the first place? "decomposing corpse" would have been better tongue.gif
