If your IP get blocked and can not access e-gold account
You can resolved this problem like me:

> Check your IP address at DNS Blocklist ( e-gold use it for referrence):
http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup.lasso or:
http://cbl.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi

> If your site found and listed at DNS blocklist, Just SCAN and Remove any Virus, Trojan etc with anti virus like Ad-Aware, and Don't Use Proxy . than you can reguest delisting to DNS blocklist site where your site listed.

> After your site not listed again you must contack e-gold.com via contack us and select category of guestion " Programing support including SCI....." and tell e-gold if your IP not listed again at DNS blocklist and Reguest to allowed access from your IP

I got this problem 2 times and can resolved orund1-2 days.

I'm having the same problem! I don't have 2 days to wait to resolve this problem as I need to access my account right now. Do you have any faster solution? I was still able to access my account yesterday. This is so frustrating.

The exact error returned to me when I tried to login (twice) is this:

The IP you are using to access the e-gold website (***.*.**.**) appears to be either an open proxy or otherwise exploited. You will not be permitted to access e-gold services from this IP while this condition continues.

Your first order of business to restore access should be to make sure that you are computing securely. Please read and implement e-gold's Security Recommendations.

After you have resolved any security issues, including virus removal, it may take a day or two for your access to be re-enabled.

I already contacted e-gold (under General E-gold issues) but you know how e-gold answers to people's queries and as I've said I don't have two days. sad.gif

Mine, before I could access e-gold website from my laptop. After I reformat my laptop I could no longer browse the e-gold website. Message is "Timeout". I tried to go to a nearby internet cafe and tried putting the e-gold website to the browser. I was able to browse it. I can access the website from the internet cafe but in my own house I could not. How can I access it?

If you're a traveling businessman, a VPN account with a dedicated IP address is your best solution to these kinds of problems. All webmasters these days are spotting and blocking so-called "anonymous proxies." It's easy. (Read this article about Elite Proxies vs. Anonymous Proxies if you want to better understand proxies.)

If you don't want E-Gold, PayPal, banks constantly blocking your account just because you access them when you're on the road, get an Elite Proxy/VPN account. On top of the convenience, you'll have much better security, because hackers and sniffers can't grab your usernames and passwords when you're using WIFI and Internet cafes.

I don't know what to do. I cannot access e-gold at all! I checked my IP and it's not on the black list but everytime I try to login - this is what I get.

The connection has timed out
The server at www.e-gold.com is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

It was working fine 2 days ago! I even disconnected my modem, etc. Anyway I will be logging off for 16 hrs or so - and if it's still not working by the time I come online again - first will contact my IP provider.

Can anyone here help me at all???
Thanks.
