Well lately i've been looking into how to monetize websites to max out their full potential depending on their niche.

This is a money making site - so the niche will be business, entrepreneurship (long word), gambling, forex etc. I know this site isnt exactly digitalpoint in regards to method of earning, but its still quite easy to monetize.

Basically, a large portion of people here are here to get rich quick. or to have fun while gambling on hyip.

Comissions Junction and ClickBank are the two biggest affiliate sites.

Clickbank is full of high % paying digital products dedicated to getting rich quick.. adsense empires to sports abitrage etc.. the works. I think it would make MMG look a lot more money orientated than the current free smiley, cancer etc ads.. and the 2500000% after 1 day google ads. Maybe admins can review a product between them.... and if the like it can put a big banner in rotation instead of a free smiley ad. This method of picking good advertising in corresponding niches has proven to make more money for many sites and work better than adsense

CJ (comission junction) is currently the biggest (i think) publisher/advertiser program. It features big brands with many money and finance related.
Considering this site is about business and making money.. why not put a big banner from the 'entrepreneurship' category on the site! I noticed you have FX ads in rotation which I approve off But there are other ways to making money online.

Text Link Ads will earn you more money than adsense on a site like this. Adsense is dead... simply because sites like text-link-ads and others are better. Perhaps replace the google ads on the left hand side with slots that people can buy.

We have tried some stuff with CJ and clickbank, but most of it isn't very relevant or the product quality is low. As a result, it doesn't convert very well. I'll probably try some more clickbank stuff in the future, it might just be a matter of finding the right product. Adsense has actually been performing decent for us, but I will take a look at text-link-ads.

ahh yes i suppose CJ isnt loaded with Get rich quick schemes.
But if you find the right clickbank product.. with high comissions you can make some serious cash..

I just remembers Adsense introduced a Paid per impressions program.. you must be earning nicely from that

ok i just had a look on a few calculators, and it looks like you can easily sell links down the left hand side (where the google ad block is) for $200 a month..

thats potentially 2k+ a month.. but if you earn more from adsense then dw.



if you decide you want to keep selling the adspace down left hand side, then you can simply place 2 or 3 links underneath that add.. which you can expect to charge $320+ a month for .

We are waiting for approval from text-link-ads and will be incorporating those links (if approved) in the "sponsor links" section of the sidebar.

why do you monetize your blog thru adsense if there are so many better alternatives?

Because I am trying many different methods and waiting until I receive good traffic and increase my PR so I may encorporate methods like the above.

I can sell 10 links on my blogroll and perhaps make $100 a month, but I could make 10 sponsored posts a month and make $500. I haven't got enough time to do this or play around though atm due to exams and stuff. Also I have been trying adbrite but havent even had time to sort out the link code - its more confusing than others.

Once I get to pr4 I can start selling links and posts on DP and places..
Even atm im not monetizing my blog solely through adsense

$700 a month for a sponsored link? Possibly too high?
