Ive been studying the oil markets for quite a while, and now whenever I log on the computer for 15 minutes, I can predict the next day's oil move pretty damn accuratly (stockbroker knows). My problem right now is that I would also like to do intraday trading. But for that, I would need to have the news BEFORE it affects oil prices. The only news I can get my hand onto are always saying "After the news, oil prices moved xxx" Does anyone know where I can find a site that reports news affecting oil prices BEFORE it does?
Thanks!

ok I will start writing my predictions here on sunday, and I will write how much I am confident in the move (If I would trade on the prediction, or not)
Actually I might start to take belial's technique and if i'm not so sure about the direction, I'll place bets on both sides Most of the time, when oil goes in one direction, it goes at least 50cents before turning around or continuing. I will have to analyse that to see if its possible

We'll see how well I do when I have pressure coming from the forum
Having people looking at my results will give me some training as to when I will be trading real money. Pressure and emotions are a key factor in trading, and they should be the same while trading a demo or live account.

Belial's trades + My oil trades for tommorow. I'm only experiencing and I do not expect any gain or loss with oil trading tommorow. I wouldnt place any of those bets on a real account. I placed stop losses and take profits on all of them. I know e-trade is not guaranteeing those, but i'm pretty sure they will honor them. If they dont, heck, its only a demo account.

Hurricane Dennis will have a big impact on Oil trading today. I don't think anyone wants to be holding a position over the weekend with it moving through. Could see huge swings like yesterday.

Is there any commission on either of these trades

Oil falling at least 1$ tommorow before 12:00 on NYMEX trading hours.
it MIGHT fall up to 3$ during the day. ( it touched 54.00 on 7/10/2005, a 7 dollar drop on international trading.
I would aim for a 1$ gain ( 100 points @ 1$per point on a 50$ trade)
I would place 200$ on the trade, and if my prediction is correct, I would make 400$ profit.
Lets see what happens

Monday 7/11:2005
This morning at 00:00, the market opened at 58.94. Right now it is down to 58.52 at 8:00ET
Since nymex opens at 7:00, I can say oil dropped 0.42$ so far. It needs to fall to 57.94 for me to close my position. It has to do it before 12:00 for me to be happy

Results: I've never seen an oil market as stable as today. but here are the results:
Low of the day at 58.05, gives me a 89points of profit
I would've followed it with a 40 points trailing stop so 49points of profit for today.
If I had made a 200$ bet on it, I would have made 196$ profit with 200:1 Leverage.
Lets do a little game, and say I started with 500 and placed a 200$ bet on that one.

dont forget that the oil market dosnt really "close" over night. it only closes in the US. The closing US price is just the time when most of the US traders go home.
