Both are secure enough, so the choice is up to your likes.
The loss of security is usually users' own problem, when they get key loggers and trojans from the net, thus loosing their accounts.
andykurniawan
I think also that gmail is more secured free mailbox of all.
simon4u92

team007
I use both. I like Gmail the best. speak_cool.gif

Actually, Gmail doesn't use folders. To help you organize your mail more effectively, Gmail uses labels instead.

Here's why we think labels are better than folders:

Labels
A conversation can have more than one label
A conversation can be in several locations (Inbox, All Mail, Sent Mail, etc.) at once, making it easier to
find later
You can search conversations by label

Folders
You can only put a message in one folder
You have to remember where you filed a message to retrieve it
You can't always do folder-specific searches

Learn how to create, edit, delete, and search labels. go to gmail help center

I don't like yahoo much, but gamil, is simply great.

Gmail has a great spam filter

Gmail is awesome. It has a great spam filter and you can chat. But there's also a Yahoo Mail wherein you can now chat there. rolleyes.gif

I more preffer yahoo beacuse of tradition.
ashraf110
in fact , gmail is better than yahoo in many different , however , yahoo is not that bad too
gmail is only offering 6 GB mail (and growing) : yahoo is offering unlimited inbox space
gmail spam filter is better than yahoo , but you can't stop the spam filter : in yahoo you can
sacredoak
I use yahoo and like it for the most part.
Haven't tried gmail.

gmail is the best ever.

Gmail and Yahoo for me are basically the same. Both has it's own good and bad side. As you can see upgrades are being done from time to time for their continuous improvement. Each has it's own downside. But what is more important is that they are really to trying very hard to give us their customers 100% satisfaction.

The equivalent of "folder" in GMail is the "label" -- and it's pretty neat as well... smile.gif

Not really, Gmail is much better than Yahoo.

- 20mb attachments
- more than 6gb for storage
- easy and fast interface
- loads up fast
- your emails when replied back a featured chats, what is great
- Gtalk integrated
- no abusive advertisements
- THE BEST ANTI-SPAM SERVICE ONLINE!

I could spend hours and hours here... anyway another simple phrase describes Gmail:
Made by Google.

Gmail has better spam filter than yahoo, but yahoo have disposable emails to avoid spam... mmm... I prefer and use gmail for everything
frankyfigs77
Well I personally haven't heard anything relating to security between the two sites.. but keep in mind that google has the most power servers in the world... so I would think that they would have taken the time to secure that.
JsKnight
Yahoo is much easy and you can orgnaize the account as you want!

I've been a gmail user from just about day 1. I have to say, it's always been the best for what I need. Spam blocking.

Gmail and my blackberry work great together as well, along with all the other Google apps.

I've never been much of a fan of the yahoo mail. It is a pretty neat and flashy mailbox, but it can be somewhat heavy whereas Gmail is a little lighter and good for when I have a slow connection.
bycushor
ok...so i have enaugh arguments to try at least biggrin.gif
FinGenious
Works more powerfully and more reliably for this reason I use it

I read a while ago that the ads on gmail target the text in your email, and by proxy scan your email for keywords. Doesn't seem very private.

I figure this was just a rumour, can anyone shed some light?
Deckster
Imo, yahoo mail cannot hold a candle to gmail.

@leeW

I have both a Gmail and a Yahoo Mail account because there are things that I like about each of them so I don’t want to get rid of either of them. I don’t want to limit myself to just one e-mail account.
