Can you really make money using Poker Bots like Win Holdem?

Apparently, the poker rooms will ban you for life if you use them.

But some newspaper articles suggest that good money can be made.

Please advise.

Also, word of advice. If you are a publisher and have a lot of gambling content on your website, DO NOT USE GOOGLE ADSENSE.

Adsense does not really like gambling and will close your account at some point. It's just not worth it.

I dont use poker bots... most of the times they tell u to fold, or they say you got high percentage...but u could end up folding if you depend too much on them. I downloaded a book from imperialbonus.com and it seems some of their strategies made me some money..GO check it out!!

I have never used poker bot but I guess you can make some money when you use it at smaller limits. At higher limits becomes significant factor psychology and reading your opponents and I do not know poker bot that is able to use psychology and read other poker players. If you find one then let me know

they could work well for limit poker, but definitely not no limit.

I have never used them, I really never had the need for them. I've only been playing poker for a short while, but I'm getting better with every game I play.

Well I do not know if poker bots will help you to earn some cash but I know some kind of poker software that allows you to see other players hole cards will. Somebody already tried it on Absolute

Actually, please get the details right. This was widely reported online. What happened is a guy who use to be a programmer for the site had access to a super user account that the site used for testing. What he did was login and "ghost" his buddies in the big tourneys. The poker community came together and demanded action from admin. A friend of mine actually finished 2cd in a $1000 buyin tourney because of this cheating. He was giving first place money, a difference of like $40,000. We really need to thank someone from AP support who purposefully emailed the admin HH to a user who requested it because he watched this player and the guy was never wrong.

The HH is available online ( I would have to find the link) but it's so obv that the guy knew what everyone had. He would have like JJ on the button and that's a normal raise spot. But the BB would have like AA behind him and he would open fold Jacks, which is obv BS. The great thing about the Admin HH is it shows the user# and ID of all people railing and what was suspicious was this super user account was at this guys table the whole time.

The poker community fought and got action from AP on this.

I read the Kahnawake audit results and they put AP on 2 year probation (more audits) after what happened. I guess it's now safe to play there..

That Kahnawake deal is a joke, imo... they don't do anything, contact them and complain and they can't do anything cause they are under contract.. it's such a joke..

Just something makes the average feel better because some "Company Audits/watches/regulates" a site.. ugh..

Stick with PokerStars and FTP and you don't have to worry about anything...

And we do not know how many incident like the AP one just didn't come to public attention. Just the greedy cheaters get caught;)

Pokerbots are just statistics machines with a few playing patterns/routines installed into them... Its unlikely that they're sophisticated enough to beat actual online players. And poker isn't purely about statistics; its about reading situations and appropriate levels of aggression against certain types of players. That applies both on and offline.

*And think about it; if they really really worked - why is the developer selling this information to you? Surely they'd make themselves millions and millions a month playing the tables for themselves... At high limits online poker; you can take home $250k-$500k a month if you're really that good.

i just play every now and then. texas holdem
or 7 card draw.
I'm not much of a gambler, the majority of people lose.
people would do better investing that money instead
of dropping it in all those casinos.

I've tried a couple bots awhile ago on a poker site that I really didn't care if I got banned. The bot made some bad choices, I lost more money than I made, and I did get banned. My advice if you want to make money playing poker, learn how to play poker. I'm doing pretty good now, nothing I'd quit my job over.

As for me. I like plaing with real players. Bots it's something unreal.

I would suggest downloading a poker program and practice your skills against a bot, and then hope youre on high tables and people are using bots, then youll know exactly how to dismantle them because most bots work the same, as they use the readily available poker AI

Poker is a skill game. And like all skill games, if you master it, you will make some good money from it. It does not rely on chance but your skill, and you dont need to have aces to win. I know poker players who can win with a 2 and a 7 against aces... its called bluff

Better to learn how to play than cheating, if you use a wheel chair to get around pretty soon you cant walk either because the strength is gone.

you can play zynga poker on facebook. it is free to play! many people are addicted to that game. so if you had lot of chips. try to sell it to them.. that is my extra income online aside from doing PTC , MLM, hyip etc.

I think i`ve used about 4 or 5 bots so far and none of them actually made me any money. They keep winning but they also keep losing. I can`t say i lost money, i just didn`t make any. When playing with bots, your balance keeps going up and down and at the end it is still the same. I call that a big waste of time.

Now i`m only playing in tournaments and i`m getting better at it.

I personally love to play poker myself so I never really used Poker Bots but in case one can possibly make money out of it I think I'll give it a chance!
