What do you guys do to ensure that you get credit/commission for people who click on your affiliate/referral links and join/buy something, even if they took the action the next day or in the future?
Are there any methods that ensure us that we aren't losing on our commissions, simply because the person who clicked on our links, decided to save the page for future reference, or just removed our affiliate ID from the link, and purchased/joined from the main site? Some sites have these strong cookies that remain for like months, but not all do...

There's really not much you can do about it. Hopefully you can prove that you're a good enough upline that they will want to be in your downline.
Selecting a good downline is also just important as selecting a good upline. It can be beneficial to both if you guys work together.

Yes the only thing you can do to guard against that is to prove your value to them as an upline

It's best to limit programs that you are referring them to to only programs that will not end up with them losing money.
Be as straight with your downline as possible. Don't lie to them just to get them in your downline. Be sure to advise them of the risks before joining, and always try and keep them informed as much as possible.

Guys... You won't believe it! Apparently someone in another forum found the solution to this problem, through a new tool you can read about
here.
