See, the problem is he clouded it over with the fact that he was so nice about it. He can't prove that they accepted him back because he offered to purchase advertising anymore than he can disprove they accepted him back because he was cooperative and apologetic.

Here's how you would have to set it up... you start a program using multiple ID's, don't buy any advertising, get banned.

Then buy tons of advertising for that same program, come back under a different name using that same IP, if you can, or come back as the admin under a different name and IP with other multiple names on that same IP... then see if you get banned.

You gotta be subtle about it, lol.

Are you mad because we let back a banned person? We have given people 2nd chances on many occasions. There is nothing special there. We decided not to make it a rule that admins could publicly make one account for admin use, and one for personal use because we felt that would be too misleading for MMG members. Also, his reason for a name change is one of the reasons we still allow people to change their names. If they named themselves after website that provided a service, such as the guy in this case. He apparently ran a monitor called SurfsMonitor which was the name of his account, and he wanted to change it to "TnyURL" because that was the new of a new website he was running which was a URL shortening service. What we allow also depends on the person's history here. If they were a scammer, then of course we would have no leniency and would not allow them to do anything.

What I can't get over is the replies to that guys post in the other forum. It just seems like a pretty stupid reason to be labeling MMG a "scam". How the heck can a forum be a scam anyways?!?!?

Another thread for this joke of a site. It uses bots to fill up threads and give the illusion of having members. Notice that many of the IDs have the same names as MMG members, including some of our moderators. These are not the same people and when asked about several such IDs the promoter of the site basically responded with, 'oh, so you have a patent on that name now?'

Also notice that in many threads replies are issued by members in descending/ascending order of their member number. I.e. Member numer 7 starts a thread, the first reply is by member number 8. The next is by number 9, then 10, etc. Lookin' around on int for 15 minutes pretty much every thread I looked at exhibited this behavior, sometimes 20+ posts in a row.

The truth might be there- but it doesn't have anything to do with this forum.

The thing that makes me believe that is 100% fake is the fact that Jason uses proper grammar. If you read the first reply from "Jason" you will notice this:

"We are thinking about letting people making one personal and one admin usernames, but we havent done anything about that yet."

Obviously that is not the word choice Jason would use.

LOL, a hot discussion here as I see. Does MMG allow scammers to advertise or not? Or maybe they simply forget if are scammer or not?

People that have been banned numerous times always like to start rumors and twist things around. That's just the way it goes smile.gif

No we definitely do not allow known scammers to advertise. We turn down offers from known scammers all the time when we recognize them. We have several ways to track them. Even if they try to represent themselves as a different person in the ticket system, we can still catch them a lot of times smile.gif
