How many of you guys write articles to promote your websites? and what has been your experiences with them?

I personally think that it is one of the best ways to market, but would also want to hear from you which
softwares you use for that, if any (I favour 4 specific ones).

I agree with you...article marketing is quite effiective.

You should submit your articles to as many directories as possible. (of course to the ones with the highest PR) I do not use any kind of software with this type of marketing. By using software, most of the time you don't get emails notifying you that your article has been accepted...let alone the directory name itself.

That is correct, but softwares really make life easier... especially the recent article submitters. Also using paid services to submit your article is way better... imagine your article being picked up by a service, that publishes it in it's ezine of over 500,000 members!
