Hello everyone, today I completely lost my computer, all memory erased. I just purchased a new computer from aarons, and now I would like the top of the line software.

Things I want:

The best virus protection
-

Keylogger Scrambler(Heard of this through someone) -

Anything else that would work great for security.

Thanks

I am using

- AVG Anti-Spyware
- Outpost firewall
- NOD32 Anti-Virus

This is all u need to have, all the rest is up to u how u manage your computer..
The other unnecessary thing like keyboard logger protection software, etc... are not needed.
Because it could damage ur computer either by using that program.
So becareful when u surf internet & download.. thumbup(1).gif

For anti Spyware software:

Spyware Doctor is the best bit of protection you buy for your computer,. It offers many features inlcuding a keylogger guard.

It has won the best security feature award for 2005 & 2006

check out the features here:

Spyware Doctor

(Download the trial version, and then buy a registration key on ebay, much cheaper)

For anti-virus software:

Avg or Avast

AVG

Avast (I use this myself)

For a Firewall:

Zonealarm (if you have the patience to configure it, i got fed up with it a now use windows firewall)

I personally recommend to use spyware doctor, avast and a firewall.

I use AVG Free and have found it to be extremely well done - give it a go and see how it performs for you. They have a paid version as well.

Norton slows down the machine too much - McAffee wasn't that great.
abrsama
Kaspersky antivirus is very good.
I also use ZoneAlarm
in my browser i switched off some ActiveX tasks
T-Mixas
Kaspersky is good, but it's slowing my computer.
I recomend NOD32 and ZoneAlarm.

I use NOD32. Kaspersky 6.0 doesn't works well. All trojans lived happy on my comp when Kaspersky was there
SomethingWild
I agree with dexter, NOD32 is really great when it comes to virus protection.
I haven't had a problem since I started using it.
davidscript
I got Kaspersky (awesome), AVG (full security and firewall), and windows defender.

Use to have Norton, but it's murder on my system resources.

Plus I do most of my "risky" online activity on OS clones I create with my virtual comp... VMware... simply the most amazing software in existence.
slashas
I am using Nod 32 and Outpost firewall and its enough for me

Kaspersky is the best anti virus software.
SpySweeper is the best anti spyware software
BitDefender is the best as internet security suite.
AlexTheSmart
Kaspersky - the best.... I use it and like it a lot....

Use virtual environment (create, use, delete)
realist
I used to use Norton, but was never all that keen on it.

When I bought a new pc a year or so ago it came with free McAfee (free for 3 years actually good deal). I really like McAfee and wouldn`t hesitate to recommend it for anti virus and security.

The other one I`ve always heard great reports about is Kaspersky, though I`ve never used them myself.

Symantec securities is the hot favorite and it did everything with all security issues.
