Pete, I know how you feel. I used to feel the same way. I may still be considered on the younger side, but I'm already pretty set in my ways (ask my wife). But I promise you, running a Mac is not so different from a PC. I'd be willing to say it's only 2% different. You have a desktop, icons, click here, click there... it's all the same except the viruses. Check it out for yourself. I think it would be money well spent if not for anything but a good night's sleep.
Hi HaleBopp I have been interested in having a go at Mac... but I like windows. Global spoke to me once about using a disk with mac system, I can find where the link to all that was. So if I can find that out and download it, burn it... I will give it a go.
So Global if you are out there somewhere... can you resend me that info and the links... please...
Dorky Note: I may be an old dog, but I have certainly learnt a lot of new tricks in the last 12 months. That does not including losing or making money. I learnt those quite a few years back now.

I should be getting my payment on the 9th and I can't wait! This program still looks great.

I have to be honest... I really don't know what the term "Windows" means. Is that the desktop with all the icons that you get to click on and such? Cause that's what I have on my Mac. I do have a toolbar at the bottom of my screen w/ all my programs to choose from instead of a "Start" menu, but that to me has been easier and not much of an adjustment.
This is the new "Leopard" system. I have the "Tiger", not much visual difference. Now just add a few folders on your screen such as "BTD Spreadsheets" and "BTD Expiry's Due" and "Don't forget to send HaleBopp a big bonus for recommending this computer to me" and it will look very similar to what you have in front of you now.
I'm not trying to hijack your thread, Pete, or spend too much time pitching Macs. It's just that in this land of hacker heaven I have never been so comfortable. My wife (who is an IT tech) refuses to clean our PC anymore with all the nasties I got from surfing and the thought of Trojans picking off my passwords and emptying my e-gold kept me worrying all the time. I just read a thread in the e-gold folder where someone (who is pretty computer savvy) was infected by a hard-to-find Trojan that waited for him to log into his e-gold account and then emptied it instantly. I'll never touch this arena again on a PC or IE. If you don't get picked off by the scammers, you'll get hit by the hackers. It's enough to drive you nuts. I'll end my sermon now. I just wish everyone here in this thread to be safe and try to enjoy the good parts this arena has to offer without spending all your time staying out of the bad parts.

I haven't got a Mac yet but i hope to have one within a year, i just can't talk my wife into letting me spend the $5,000 for the one that i want yet.......
I only access my egold account when i am using my Linux DVD so i don't have to worry about my egold being hacked but my Linux is very slow.
Dorky i cant find the link that i had for the article on the Mac being compatible with windows but one thing that i know is that i have never met an unhappy Mac owner but i know heaps of disgruntled PC owners!

Folks, if you are waiting on payments or receipts, relax...........I just had a modem blowout, I refused to believe it was dead, so I spent a few hours trying to resurrrect the old girl. Finally I pronounced her dead, and bit the bullet and bought a fresh one.
Tomorrow, morning my time, I will sort everything back into shape.
i like apple too.. but then again i also like grapes, banana and also orange..
I just got home from the club and I thought I would check in and see who's doing what... I saw your post. Made my day! I have been known to be partial to bananas!!!
Global, I may have been totally mixed up. Linux...mmmm... that was what I was talking about.... why did I think Mac.
Gee those laptops are expensive... is that just because it is a Mac or everything else you want with it?
Back to Linux.. that is another operating system, isn't it? So by using this would alleviate any problem with accessing egold? I think the day is coming when Vista will have taken over Windows Professional, and I have had all dramas with Vista, so much that I got rid of it and went back to WP. Hopefully the price of a MAC will have decreased a bit by then..
Back on topic!! @ ether93 I am due for payment on 9th as well... we can celebrate together... there are probably others as well.

I have worked on a laptop for 4-5 years now, and personally I would not go back to a desktop for everyday use, we do have several desktops in the house , and they serve thier purpose, they probably are quicker, but they are messy numbers with cables everywhere.
Next time around I will be looking at Mac, because as HaleBopp and others say, it is relatively virus free, and as each day goes by, this becomes more important.
Thank goodness I have at last sorted out my problems.

That was just a screenshot I pulled off the web. I still have the Tiger...
@Global: When you're ready, check out ebay. Lot's of folks sell brand new items like Macs. That's where my wife and I got ours... just make sure to do a lil' research on your seller.

Hello all,
At first I wanted to congratulate everyone who received his/her payment recently. I received my first one yesterday. I visited MMG forum and saw this
then I immediately checked my e-gold account and yes there it was, with bonus Now I am looking forward to get my another payment which is coming in a few days.
Pete keeps his finger on the pulse, and is alaways there to answer e-mails. Thank you very much Pete and I am sorry about your recent problems with your computer and malware. Using Windows it's unfortunately a must to have all kind of antivirus software, firewalls and spyware removers. Lately I use only Windows, but plan to get back to linux (BTW Arch Linux is a great distro) in order to make all financial operations in a more secure environment.
Best Regards and happy investing everbody

Thanks for not letting me down like so many other programs have, Pete. I really appreciate it. I'm going to re-invest in a few minutes, with e-Bullion.
Ninong beer can be very therapeutic, just ask Dorky.

I do not post here often(although I stop by to read every day), however I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Pete for running a real, honest program. Also for being very communicative and letting us know what is going on every step of the way. Thank you Pete!
The exercise? not so well done. lol. Keep taking the Herbal supplements only...such as Ginseng, Ampalaya, Multivitamins and Beers.
Herbal supplements hey...mmmm... I have never let those herbal things you mentioned pass my lips.... but Beers, now that is another story. Stops me from dehydrating
@ slappy I didn't realize you were a member... welcome... you have come to the right place... Pete runs a tight ship and as part of the "Breaker Crew" is the best thing that has happened to me this year.
Catch you all later.

Thank you everybody, and thank you Pete in the first place. This is my second payment but I am already convinced that the BTD is a very promising program and it will be a strong point of my portfolio for sure. After I rearrange some of my financial things I will reinvest
P.S. The 'r' in my nick doesn't need to be written uppercase. I wrote xaliaR in my e-mails to you Pete because you happen to miss this 'r' a few times
Best Regards

Hmmm. Question Pete..
Would you consider AlertPay investments? I ask because they're the only company at the moment that does constant e-gold in and out exchanges to their accounts.
If not I can just fund my e-gold through them

Congratz to all the Breakers on their payments
I think you will all agree with me that ole Pete is the one breaking the rules... the payments keep on coming..
Thanks for your tireless efforts Pete. We do appreciate the honesty and integritity (another word I can't spell ) in an area of money making that is really proving itself.
Remember back to this time last year, the phrase "a shining light" ??? Well quite frankly your program even in the present climate is like a beacon. BTD certainly is breaking the drought!!

I will take another look at Alert Pay for members that choose that route, the problem initially was the speed, (or lack of it)
In the U.S. and Canada, you have the benefit of telephone contact, my last telephone contact with AlertPay meant holding on to the line for nearly one hour, at international charges.

Hello fellow Breakers!
Well, what a last couple of weeks. I have a confession to make. I'm an idiot. Yes, it's true. While it is also true that BTD makes up the lion's share of my "investment portfolio" I also had some smaller amounts scattered here and there. They were never amounts individually that were enough to make the minimum deposit requirement here, but if I had just waited and collected them together, it would have been another nice deposit. Instead, I chose to try and "run them up" in other programs and then deposit them with Pete. Well, the first one got tied up by the DoJ when they seized e-gold's funds, the second disappeared due to poor investments made by the Admin, and the latest swallowed up in the recent SEC seizure of CEP and their processor, CEPTrust, which was used by the program I was in. The lesson here? I think it's obvious. In the last two months I have blown just over $200 in other "opportunities" while I have made just about that much here in BTD. If I had just followed my initial plan and brought it all over here...
I have contracts due next week that I will, of course, be rolling over. And another one the week after that that I will, of course, be rolling over. As it stands right now, Pete and BTD have all my funds just like I intended. I guess I got here after all, just not the way I intended. Thanks for the great site, Pete. You're the only one I know of standing the test of time. Keep up the great work.

Good choice Xaliar. Pete's run a solid program from the start, and I plan to continue rolling mine over.
