so just today, my computer suddenly got infected with TONS of spyware. i think my brother downloaded something.... gr..... just today i've received pop ups every minute. its very aggravating.... could someone point me towards some free anti-spyware programs? i currently have adaware and spybot search and destroy. thanks!

Yes the thread is very useful, also i would suggest never let anyone use your own computer. Each members of the family should have at least a PC- Personal computer Each

I recommend Ad Aware and Microsoft Anti Spy. And get Spy Bot.
I also suggest Webroot Spysweeper, although you need to pay for it, it has a system detector that notifies the user when a program is added to a system startup. It's also a spyware remover.
I use Microsoft anti spyware which is excellent and it is free.
Lavasoft's adware is also very good. |
