Since our industry is the car rental and sales area, I decided to post interesting facts about some of the BIG DOGs in the industry. So let us start with Hertz.
HERTZ - Part 1

The origins of the company date back to 1918, when Walter L. Jacobs, a 22-year-old car salesman with a fleet of a dozen Ford Model Ts, started a small car rental business in Chicago. Within five years, Jacobs had expanded his operations such that the business was generating annual revenues of about $1 million through a fleet of 600 cars. In 1923, Jacobs sold the company to John Hertz, the head of Yellow Cab and Yellow Truck, although Jacobs remained with the company, serving as its chief operating officer. Hertz held the DriveUrSelf System, to which he would add his name, for three years before including it as part of his deal to sell Yellow Truck to General Motors Corp.

Assuming that you read the first page, the auto rental and sales industry in where the money is to be made. The money is not for paying overhead costs or bills -- it will be used strictly for wholesale asset acquisition which is then rented/sold quickly to turn profits. Manley has been doing this and is ready to grow the business. Today, he is renting more and more vehicles and the demand is exceeding his supply in all locations. Later on this evening, I will provide much more details than posted in the introduction.

Mr. Christian is not my next door '...neighbour...' or anything of that sort. But he is a short 15 minutes or so car ride from me if I hop on the I-85 expressway.

He is a business colleague and I am always welcome in his family's home both on business and as a good friend .

As a matter of fact if you can do a search in the closed programs, SAVINGSEASONS, RAININGGOLD and maybe even in 6KFINANCE you will probably see some of my old posts before and after 09Dec2006 when I wrote about my profits in these programs. I also wrote that I was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC (yes, it was cold that time of the year). I went on a combined business/pleasure trip with he and his family. I ended up buying a vacation timeshare in the same resort in which his family has purchased one. <money people tend to hang around other money people>

Most likely but I will verify with Manley in 2 hours when we meet. I cannot imagine that he would send folks money orders for their profits and principal. But I will confirm so hold tight.

Secondly, the program name is CELLCFund. I know that God's name is not CELLCFund.

Finally, Mr. Manley Christian was probably named by his parents. And my name is Faith which, too, comes from my parents. Guess what? I have a sister named Joy. We simply had no say so in what our names happen to be.

However, on that note, we both do believe strongly in the providence of God. Manley says he does not intend to change his last name and I will not change my first name.

Maybe when we launch, you will get the opportunity to revisit our program. It is up to you. But to respect your wishes and since we do not spam, we will not put you on the notification list since you did not request the same.

Christian Enterprises, LLC is Manley's parent company. Car Rental Express is the company where our funds will be used in the asset acquisition area (inventory).

LOL - I am quite sure that his future plans are growth oriented but as of today franchising isn't a consideration.

We have Hertz, Avis, OneDollar, Budget and others in the U.S. They are not direct competitors because you won't see CRE anywhere close to an airport. Airport customer sales are big moneymakers for these big guys and the competition there is cutthroat.

General Motors kept the thriving business until 1953 when it was sold to the Omnibus Corporation. The following year Omnibus changed its name to The Hertz Corporation, and went public on the New York Stock Exchange, where the company's shares would remain until 1967. During this time, in 1954, the newly public Hertz acquired Metropolitan Distributors, a pioneer in New York truck leasing and the largest truck rental business at the time, with a fleet of 4,000 trucks. The purchase was made for $6.75 million in cash. Walter Jacobs, who was president of Hertz until his retirement in 1960, commented at the time that the acquisition 'rounds out Hertz operations by providing in New York City the largest single truck rental operation in existence.' Leon C. Greenbaum, the president of Metropolitan, became vice-chairman of the Hertz board of directors. The acquisition brought the total Hertz fleet to 15,500 trucks and 12,900 passenger cars.
