I am just curious as to why it is ok to bash some members and not others...

it is ok to bash KiTTeN but not GPT
it is ok to bash Nothinggirl but not GPT
it is ok to call me a liar without decent proof, but when we point a
person who has multiple ID's we need proof.....
isn't a multiple Id and a liar the same thing?

It is not ok to "bash" other members. MMG is not here for everyone to fight with each other. MMG is here to discuss ways to make money online. If you see someone "bashing" another member, it would be considered a personal attack and against our rules so please report it. If someone called you a name and it was unfounded, please report it. Remember that assumptions do not help anyone here, and you can always ask us if you have any questions.

And how are these things discussing ways to make money?

For example:
alot of people have been noticing a bit of spam in the threads lately from an
un-named member and nothing has really been done about it. Yet, when
others have come and posted spam about thier upcomming hyip/surf/mlm/whatever
it has been edited or better yet, deleted.

also, have noticed entire posts disappearing lately when the post was a bit on the
bashing side of things and yet, a new member posted things about other members
and that thread was only closed and left.

I do understand that this is a very large forum and it is difficult to watch every
move that members make, but I still don't get it. I am trying to see the fairness
in what is removed vs closed. I am certainly not bashing the way you run your forum,
but only trying to figure out the difference.

Actually the person you are referring to has already been warned. We always have to treat everyone fairly and everyone is able to receive warnings for breaking our rules before we ban them with a few exceptions such as extreme spammers, scammers, or people with multiple accounts that get banned right away.



Usually the only reasons why posts are deleted is if theyre duplucates, spam, personal attacks, or some other form of post that breaks our rules. Also remember sometimes topics are moved or merged as needed for organization purposes. We have a lot of moderators so one may choose to close the topic while another may choose to delete it. I usually prefer the deletion method because a lot of closed topics can make a mess sometimes.



I appreciate your comments and anything that causes us to think about the way we run MMG is a good thing. MMG is always improving because of members like you who make suggestions and question the way we do things.

and if someone were entering several different threads to promote say perhaps
a blog or a hyip, should it not also be considered spam and deleted?

You CANNOT post and make offers to MMG members to view your blog, or invite them to any other of your programs or schemes. This is considered SPAM and you will receive a warning for doing this. You can have a link in your signature, but you cannot in any way direct members to your link.

See MMG RULE #3 Do not "post hijack" by placing your referral link in any threads other than ones you have created. There are no "cashback offers" allowed in the program threads, if you must make an offer it belongs in the benefactor section. Also, do not create posts specifically for the purpose of asking people to click on your signature, such as "look at my signature" or "join under me" or something similar in the program threads.

It was a mild mannered point to the Mods that we the members can
with respect bring other members action to attention.

Like I said scammers threads still remain open in the closed section?

If you want to respectfully bring something to the mods attention, the best way to accomplish this is by using the report button.

Anyway, I must admit at this point, looking back maybe I
should have used the report button when I felt it was a case of
personal attack. Unfortunately, I did not think to use it at the time. I guess
I thought others would view it as the same, but alas the damage has
been done, the thread is closed but still visible for the people who did the
bashing to point to with bragging rights.

It's very hard for us to generalize comments and say that if you call someone a liar, it is a personal attack 100% of the time. Sometimes people may be joking, etc. so the best way to handle it it to just report it to us and we will investigate each issue individually and make a decision based on the contents of the person's post.

Yes if someone is promoting their blog or hyip in different threads, that would fall under the spamming/hijacking category and they should be reported to us.

Most of my questions have been answered and taken care of, but
still there remains one issue I am still unsure of and Megaplex has also
raised this question as well....

why when he posted what he posted was it deleted and yet
when a "basher" arrived on the scene and posted against an
"inactive" mmg member was it not deleted?

Or better yet as Mega pointed out...
why are his posts deleted and threads closed while scammers threads and posts remain?

If you are to close threads, why aren't scammers threads also closed?
Or if you are to delete threads, why aren't "others" deleted as well?

I'm pretty sure that I'm the one responsible for the instances of deleted post you're referring to. As Asfx said earlier, some mods close threads, some mods delete; I'm more of the deletion-type of moderator. At the time a report came in, I read a few pages and made the solo-decision that in my view of MMG's rules several posts had crossed the line. I could have edited each post individually, but to save time I elected to just delete them in and post in the thread instead. Unfortunately it wasn't until just after I did this that I got in touch with the admin on the subject and he gave me a stern cautioning on the ramifications of the type of moderation I'd performed.

In short, I realize now that those posts most likely could have gone without deletion and stayed with the rest of the thread prior to be closed. I take responsibility for the result and wish that any frustration or confusion caused my by action be directed at me and my inexperience rather than at MMG's policy as a whole and for us all to move on. I'm much more careful now, but I'm still learning.

Actually I think that the Ask for Help forum is a good place for this thread. The original poster is attempting to have questions asked by the MMG staff and as far as I can tell has been largely successful in doing so.

Further, Please do not try to goad replies out of other members with posts meant to belittle them.

I am not whining nor crying. I was simply asking questions which
have now been fully answered by the MMG staff and I am sincerely
appreciative of all they do. This thread is not to pimp a hyip/blog/program/forum
or anything else of that matter. Again, I have not mentioned my place of
employment~ YOU have! I try to abide by MMG's rules regarding that~besides
everything has it's proper place, including this thread and the people discussing
the issue at hand.

I am NOT by any means trying to belittle or bring down the staff
here at MMG. Most of them know me very well and also know that
I am not a trouble maker by nature and typically am here to help
when needed, however I do tend to ask a lot of questions and I
also tend to voice my opinions. Sometimes those opinions are not
necessarily the voice of the majority. Trust me sweets, most of the
staff here get along with me very well.

As for what you are doing in this thread is beyond me.

MY QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED FULLY AND THERE IS NO NEED FOR THIS TO CONTINUE, UNLESS YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FOR THE STAFF YOURSELF.
