Dear members,

First of all I must beg your pardon for such a long silence and thank everybody for patience and continued support. I must confess I have never experienced such a stressful situation in my whole life. Living under pressure of all the outstanding debts to the people who trusted us with their hard earned funds in hope for a better future for their families is a great stress indeed. Now when we have a better vision of the entire situation and preliminary plans to deal with it, I can finally have a breath and update you on what is actually going on here in GR land.

Let me start with a brief overview of the entire GR venture, the history of success and failure, the whole story from the inside.

When Mike first came up with the idea of an on-line venture to build up some funds for the occasional investment opportunities our father shares with us at times we were very skeptical to say the least. To tell the truth, I and Alex were all against it. Actually we didn't feel the need for any outside investor's funds at the time. Our family fund was performing, performing great, and we were gradually making our way to early retirement.

Yes, sometimes it was difficult for us to come up with cash for some really good investment schemes, but if you come to think of it; you can't really make all the money.
We did run several private investment programs to capitalize on such opportunities in the past, but only our close friends and family members were involved.

We declined Mike's proposal several times, but he kept insisting, and finally convinced us to take the plunge into the so called 'HYIP arena'. We have agreed on the condition that none of our strategic assets should be involved. Mike promised that only his trading account would be used to back up the whole operation, so that only his personal funds would be at risk. The set-up was very bold to say the least. So high returns seemed to be very difficult to sustain, however, we have developed a strategy that enabled us to achieve the targeted figures, but only with a relatively small portion of our most liquid assets. It was apparent that such a set-up could only be a temporary, limited time opportunity, intended just for a jump-start of the venture, and it had to be adjusted at the right time.

The idea was to build up a good customer base, boost their returns during the first phase and then drift towards the more or less sustainable terms.

Right before the Christmas of 2004 we have started spreading the news about our new project within the close circle of our most trusted friends and former investors. They were all excited with the opportunity and very soon we had enough funds to start with. The on-line part of GR was launched in mid January, 2005. Mike used to promote it heavily, however,
when we reviewed our on-line investors database in April, the results could only be laughed upon. It was time to close the on-line program altogether for the lack of on-line investors interest. Mike asked us to give it a second chance though, and with a revised pay plan GR finally got off the ground. Mike was leveraging the investors funds 2:1 from his trading
account, not only it had added to the stability of GR performance, but it also kept us in a peace of mind about the risks for outside investors. We were gradually building the funds for the extra opportunities, and kept diversifying our assets.

In mid June Mike was sent to Colorado to relocate our grandfather and liquidate our family property there. No one could expect that it would take him over seven months to close the deal on our family owned businesses there. He was literally living in the air flying back and forth for several months until it became apparent that his presence there was crucial

for the speedy solution, so he had to settle in Denver and spend there four months to bring the deals into fruition.
For the time of his 'exile' I was left to manage the administrative part of the GR project. Mike was coordinating the investment part of the business. His trading account was managed by our cousin Fred. Mike instructed us to use this account as a reserve fund ready to cover any causalities that might happen.

In the mean time our Granddad had contributed a good part of his savings to our family fund. His funds had actually covered all our needs for extra capital, so there was no need for outside investors any more. I was ready to close the GR program and refund everybody, but Mike decided to continue GR for the sake of on-line investors. By the time a great deal of members became dependent on GR returns, they prayed us to continue. We had several very hard conference calls over this matter, and again Mike has managed to talk us into this.

Fred had freaked out quickly being unable to keep up with the pace set by our team. Mike's trading account was left unattended for several months. It had actually created a slight hole in the whole scheme, but the things looked great at the time, we seemed to be able to maintain the returns needed without it. That was probably our greatest mistake, sigh...

It all went fairly well until the mid December. There were a few bumps on the road as you might remember; several blackmail scandals, few DDOS attacks on our server, etc. What bothered me most was the rapid growth of the membership and the increasing workload involved. I tried to maintain a low profile, quit advertising, quit answering potential investor’s e-mails; I went as far as to talking people off from investing into GR. It
didn't help a bit. I signaled Mike that the whole thing is getting too big and difficult to manage, but his answer was to hold on until he'd come back and sort things out, sigh...

Problems started piling up just before Christmas; we should have made a holiday break to compensate a significant fall in earnings, normal thing in holiday season. Mike, however, insisted that we should pay all through the holidays. We had to put a considerable part of our reserves on the table just to cover the difference between the fixed rates and real returns. Right after the New Year e-gold had dropped the bomb about the FBI raid on their offices, and the craze began. Great deal of our investors with large compounded returns rushed out of e-gold. We had to withdraw from several strategic trades to make volumous e-gold transfers, at the same time we couldn't outexchange a single cent from e-gold, all e-gold funds were used as a float capital from then on. Yes, we didn't outexchange anything from e-gold since the beginning of January; all funds were used to make payouts to members. We were left to work with what we had accumulated during fall of 2005.

The exodus of large investors was slightly compensated by the influx of small guys attracted by the longevity of GR, but it had only added to my daily workload.
Mike restarted trading in mid January, however being preoccupied with his primary job at the time; he couldn't produce the kind of returns he used to. Later he confessed that he had to cash out more than he was actually earning to transfer to the exchanger in order to keep up with an increasing volume of payments to GR membership. It was time to stop and restructure the program, but Mike hesitated. It dragged on till mid February, and then he finally gave up and agreed to revise the GR set-up and start the private program.

We announced the beginning of GR-Private and took a ten day break to assess the situation and restructure our investment portfolio. By my calculations we have overpaid the members 25 to 40 percent in December-mid February, huge sum in dollar terms. Mike has liquidated
his trading account, placing the funds into short to medium term projects with great potential returns; this could fix all our issues in two or three months. I had put my most aggressive trading strategy into work; our traders were instructed to do the same. Our money making machine seemed to take off at full steam, but only to crash at the next bump.

There were not much new investments during that ten day hold-up period, so there was practically nothing to outexchange from e-gold to compliment the funds in work. Contrary to some of our member’s speculations we didn't have much e-gold holdings, only one day worth of withdrawals or so. We didn't touch these funds knowing that the payday was coming.

Our e-gold exchanger started to have issues. He failed to come up with gold in time for the first payments under the new private plan. He was advanced funds for approximately a week worth of withdrawals and had ten days to fund our e-gold account. First he tried all kinds of excuses for the delay then got lost. Mike had to hunt him down to recover the funds.
He appeared to use our funds for short term loans to traders, someone of them simply failed to repay in time.

Meanwhile, another bad news arrived. Our HK trader reported huge losses in January-February. We were completely pissed off. He was one of our key traders, a partner with good standing for over five years. He had a good share of our most active capital.

This was really a loss we were not prepared to swallow.
The autopay script failure was only the last nail to GR coffin. Our active capital was completely depleted. We had to stop the program to assess the damage, lick wounds and develop a recovery plan.

Mike had settled the problem with the exchanger. He returned our funds in full by the end of March. These funds were used for refunds to our on-line and off-line investors.
Then he had to fly down to Hong Kong to audit and liquidate this trading account. Our HK trader has lost over 70% of funds committed to him. The remains were transferred to our London trader. Since mid April Mike is working in Europe training our new team of traders in France. I met him in Paris and we have worked out a preliminary plan to recover funds and probably restart the GR private program.

It took me over a month to complete a whole audit of GR system; I had to go through thousands of records to assess the situation. Then me and Alex analyzed the family fund performance and assessed all our assets. Now we can account for every penny gained and lost during past twelve months.

Good half of our on-line investors are in profit and/or at break even point. More than 20% of those who were at loss were already refunded. In April-May I made refunds from my trading account returns. Last week I had to make some major refunds to our off-line investors, so couldn't repay anything through e-gold.

We still have 56% of a total seed capital invested by GR members. Most part of these funds is tied up in short to medium term assets due to mature within the next several months.
Meanwhile we are working on rebuilding our active capital. We challenged to restore your seed funds by the end of July employing our most safe investment strategy. That's when we'll be able to make the rest of the refunds and/or restart the GR in a new format. The refunds shall continue at an increasing rate during next two months. Those who won't be refunded at this time shall be taken into our new program, maybe with some premium. At the end of July you'll receive a one cent payment through e-gold stating your clear balance available. Then it will be your decision whether to take part in our new program or not.
